Greetings,

I'm trying to do the exploration tutorial which asks me to find an ORE site. (training site)

I scanned every corner of my current map, I find: combat gas, relic and gas sites
, I even spotted a wormhole

but not 1 ore site;

Am i doing something wrong? Is this a bug?

I am having the same issue, trying to complete the "Ore Site Scanning" mission in Hadaugago. I have spent hours scanning the entire system at various times and I can only ever find Cosmic Signatures for Gas or Relic sites. Pretty frustrating! Ugh

Maybe I am screwing something up somewhere, but if I am, I just don't see it. I checked the settings for the Scanner and Ore sites are enabled...so they *should* be showing up.

Yay! Im not the only one to be having this issue. Although I was searching the system for 5 hours last night, staying up till 6:30am because I wanted to get the 175k ISK for completing in 6 hours.

Only once I probed the ENTIRE system for signatures, diligently keeping track of which I have already searched, yes, even pinpointing with 100% accuracy that wormhole, did I realize that there may be something wrong with this mission.

Also I looked up the How to Survive in EVE tutorial for this mission, and I suppose because of updates, things seem quite different... such as the sigs have names like Gravometric or magnetometric or whatever instead of the Gas, Relic, Combat, Ore sites i was getting.... in this video he was able to find multiple gravometric or Ore Sites, while I can not pick up even the slightest signature for an ore site.

I think this may be a bug related to recent updates, seemed to work in the youTube tutorial, but it does not work in game at the moment..... and i dont go saying things are BUGS all the time... as I used to work for a game developer and was responsible for responding to bug reports that were all too often just player confusion... i dont think that is the case here however.

also, my probes have mysteriously disappeared now, so i can not continue the mission unless i got buy some new probes that could cost mucho ISK, which I do not really want to do right now, so im staaaaying away from exploration until im sure its been fixed.

**** has changed with the introduction of Odyssey, the entire exploration system has changed old guides and videos are out of date.

That still doesnt explain why there are no Ore Sites in the system at all, so far two player anecdotes have showed that searching EVERY signature has yielded ZERO Ore Sites. Also, I would imagine testing tutorial missions who be tedious, so its possibly a bug... and if there is no bug then, for a tutorial mission, it may be a little too difficult... spending 5 straight hours is a little overkill just to learn the basics.

Sorry can't help you there I would suggest petitioning it, from my experience there are more things broken after a patch then before.

I think I've read somewhere, that ORE sites are now visible as anomalies, not like signatures. It means, that you do not need to send probes to find it out - use your scanner instead. And I would not be surprised if they probably got mined very quickly and disappear now...

Had the same problem, created a support ticket and got the same response as Hina in about 10 minutes.
I started the exploration tutorials before the update but lack of time meant I had not got to this one, maybe that is the problem.

curiously, check your screen on your upper left corner and check if you can see the mission warp link. When you start a mission, it usually appears in that corner so you can click on "warp to location" but with yours...I'm not sure but its worth checking...or asking in your case.
