Question about the POS module access change

So with the expansion modules now can be accessed from anywhere in the POS shield, great. Why then can't I start a run on my refinery unless I'm within 3km of it? I haven't done any manufacturing yet to see if those arrays are the same way. Can only guess it's a bug, if not it makes the access change much less useful...

Sounds like a bug, or an oversight.

Some modules seem to still be like this. Like i still have to be within 3000m to change ships.

Access =/= Use

I believe the dev blog mentions inventory. You can access the inventory of pos modules anywhere inside the bubble. So you can see what ships are in the SMA, but still have to be within 3k to switch ships, etc.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Like is said, if this is intentional then the change is near useless. You still need a clusterfuck of modules close together for manufacturing/ refining/ reacting to be effective. If I can put ore into a refinery that's at the opposite end of the POS why shouldn't I be able to run it from wherever too? Makes no sense.

:CCP:
It doesn't make sense for those that use POS daily, but that's not a lot of people at CCP.

I can access laboratories, factories and even guns remotely from within the bubble (with taking and inserting items). Everything works like promised.

Nobody sane refines ore at a POS.

That leaves the fitting service on a SMA, so only one module.

And that lack of POS refining is a problem (imho)

That structure needs work. Ideally adjustments to yield (both there, and making npc stations worse) and time.

Woo! CSM XI!
