Hi guys,

I just bought a Mackinaw and now, I would tips to follow a career in mining.

I thought about making a another count to mine with other Mack and with main train skills necessary to get a ORCA.

It's worth making a fleet with only two accounts?

Probably better to have two Macks than one Mack and an Orca if you're dual boxing. I think your breakeven (for ice at least), would be 2 Macs and a high skilled Orca, with implant.

What you recommend to me ?

For two accounts, two retrievers.

For three accounts, two retrievers, and an orca.

For X accounts, where X > 3, 1 orca and X-1 retrievers.

3 is the break even point with an Orca.

You will want a fleet of 4 to see real results in game with it. Shocked

There is nothing wrong with miner + Orca. It is great for convenience. It just isn't the most efficient... if you care about that.

I often do miner + Orca, but I also made sure to train my Orca pilot in mining; there is very little difference between them anyway.

My Orca pilot is also a Rattlesnake pilot (uses only drones) for missions, and drones are a miners best friend. He is also a Chimera & Thanatos carrier pilot as a result. I actually consider him my shadow, as he follows me around.

My maxed orca pilot makes my 9 miners OP and strips 10 belts a day or until I'm done griefing botters and afk miners.

Having an orca as a giant jet-can will reduce the number of trips to station, and provides the benefits of warfare links should the Orca fit the appropriate tank-hardening links. Some people might feel that this improves their survivability.
