Just... wow.. Firstly i wouldn't call them "hackers" but rather criminals. Hackers, generally refers to a group of people who picks something apart and makes improvements to it, not destroying it. Everything man creates always have some unforeseen errors, i guess that's what makes us human. CCP didn't "give" these criminals the opportunity to DDoS the entire cluster. By your logic, you would say it isn't the fault of terrorists for their atrocities but rather the government/security? You seem to fail to recognize who the bad guys are here.

lol I get online to update skill queue and five minuates later the message box comes up saying eve will be coming down for maintenance

actually-maintenance would prolly just be a good time for CCP to just take a break...finish up a couple of things and then go home and sleep....

Everybody should use the downtime of EVE Online to think about installing anti virus software and do a full scan instead of complaining about the situation. DDOS would not work as good as it does if everybody would use a good anti virus software... Roll
