Well, while Blizzard and all those others had user names and passwords stolen, CCP managed to pull the plug before bad things happened. I think that CCP has the best network engineers out there. Just waiting to see how the DDoS will be mitigated.

Well it's been two days ......Why is the server down ? Man I had some major things going on when the Tranquility Server went down.
Hope CCP can get us up and running again.

No one should be asking for free sp. You don't reward terrorism with cookies. But I wouldn't be upset to learn that the Odyssey release is being delayed for however many hours the servers were down. This was a universal experience. There will be hundreds of those topics. Probably should relax the rules for a day and let people post-disaster vent/complain/beg/compliment as needed.

Finally someone who's using that bit of braincells in his head.Well spoken yonis.

I do agree thought that it would be best not to deploy odyssey tomorrow but delay it a week.Just so that people who have not been able to log in have some more time to do so.Otherwise the ''WHEEEELP i lost a few SP , damn you CCP'' cries will only become bigger.


While i think we do deserve a compensation for the lost day ( I agree it was not CCP's fault, but neither was ours, and we are the ones paying for this game ). I would much rather go with a +1 day in subscriptions than free SPs. I absolutely agree with postponing the patch because I bought a char and I was supposed to inject and train the last 2 cruisers to level 3 before the patch - now I wont be able to, and I will lose the corresponding BC5 skills.



Well last time we had the free sp because of that TERRIBLE new launcher.My god , how i hated that one and it was a complete **** up from CCP so in that case there should have been a compensation wich to my surprise they even did , not something CCP easily does.

This time however it's cleaning up someone else's mess and i really can not understand why people get so upset about that and can not understand that it might take more time then needed to bring everything in good place.


Someone called me aa fanboy because i am sticking up for CCP on this one , yet i was one screaming loudly against the new launcher.There's a difference between allways standing behind someone/something and being realisticall enough to understand that sometimes things just don't work out as planned.

I would have been fine with you guys going out to get a new coffee pot. Just saying. I know how hard it is to defend against a DDoS attack, and just want to say great job guys, and I fully understand there is no feasible way with your limited budget that you could have had measures in place to handle this any more quickly than you have. Ignore the sperg lords who are raging at you over something you have limited control over, and handled as best you could!

EDIT: On another note, Ezwal is seriously enraged at not being able to log onto eve for two days. Someone should put him on time out.

Um, just how do you think the skill queue works, anyway? Perhaps you've noticed you can't queue up more than a 24 hours of training?

If you're a new pilot with a lot of short skills left to train, you can tack on a longer skill at the end (unless you're a real new pilot and don't have any yet). But once you get to the point where pretty much all available skills are longer -- and your 10+ day skill is on its last legs -- you can't follow it up with another 10+ day skill until you let it burn down to less than a day.

And some of us have lives, and only have time to update our queues at certain times of the day.

Your "prior planning" theory is nice, but sadly lacking in real-world practicality.

Yes I understand it was not there problem, but they need to keep fourms on a whole different server. Not everyone is a dim witted Facebooker / tweeter leave that **** for brainless teenie boppers.

I'm not mad at CCP they got attacked. But they could at least give an ETA for today.

So now that I can bypass the Launcher log in and just open the client and log in I am happy. But the problems did start after they changed how we log into the game.

Again when it's not broke, do not try and fix it, as you can see, you opened up a can of worms for yourself. This all could have been avoided is my point.

The hackers found a weakness and exploited it. Not CCP's fault for the hackers choice to attack, but is CCP's fault for giving them an exploit to exploit.

To the loser who has caused this attack...

Now i dont know if you have been:
1: Burned in game and is feeling sore..
2: Lost your Wife/Husband cause of to much EvE time..
or 3: Just a sad little kid with nothing better to do..

Its just a game and hard working ppl enjoy playing on there precious days off so please just give up the attack and let us all go back to enjoying the wonders of NewEden..

"Force Majeure" works both ways in a contract. Ever heard of CCP allowing a player to invoke it ?
