It's Monday Morning 04:47am my time. Server Went Down Sunday at around 09:00am. Though while I understand why the Game Server went down, why the hell would forums have to be down all day and all night long yesterday. Time to put this on a completely different server then the game servers so we can be informed of your progress. Launched the Client from the Bin EXE and it says Server Tranq, Status Checking Status 0 players.

Can we get an ETA please.

Thanks.

See this is what happens when you try to fix things that were not broken in the first place. Seems like all this happened once Logging in went to the Launcher VS the Client.

You don't know much about IT in general, do you? "IT" is the short form for the computer/software stuff... you know...

I miss mah shiny internet spaceships! D:
Seriously though, some people need to HTFU (Or you know.. actually go outside..) and realize how absolutely amazing CCP are. They probably cancelled all their weekend plans to resolve this, while most other companies would be all like "Sorry for the inconvenience, but it's le weekend and we'll deal with it on Monday or something".
They've kept us in the loop at least every 2 to 3 hours. And we'd all rather have them resolve the whole issue as opposed to applying some quick fix, giving us random disconnects as a result.
Take your time CCP, your continued dedication and love for the community and EVE is amazing, and why we all love you long time.

I vote to deploy oddasy now, not much point in doing much if the server is just gonna go down in 24h's for the big patch

One thing I've learned from bitter experience is that you don't drop a major patch on top of a system diagnostic. They're probably going to hold Odyssey back for a day or so to make sure eveything's stable.

The end of a coffee fueled all nighter is probably a really awful time to roll out a patch anyway

Things slowly getting back together, awesome. Got to be a stressful time in the CCP offices, doubly so with the new expeansion rollout.

Seriously though CCP, please, no SP "compensation". Remember your roots. Sure, roll out +1 day on subs if need be (It's only $.50USD, no biggy if you don't).

This one wasn't CCPs fault, there's no need to apologize, and if you aren't tagging a 10+ day skill at the end of your training queue, it's yer own damn fault.

Remember the six P's, kids. Prior Planning Prevents **** Poor Performance. Applies to yo skillqueue too.

Technically it's CCP's fault as they should have a perfect defense against any kind of attack. My job is done as I payed for my accounts.

But because I am a reasonable guy ( we all should be ), I don't blame them at all but a compensation is not absurd in these circumstances.

Nobody has a "perfect defense" for anything. There is no computer network anywhere in the world that has a perfect defense, nor a defense that cannot eventually be beaten. For every security expert out there protecting networks form kids with too much time on their hands, there are 100 kids using programs they don't even understand, to initiate and sustain DDoS attacks on their networks.

Once you grasp what exactly a DDoS attack is, then perhaps you will change how you feel about what has been initiated against CCP

Updated the OP with current status.

Sorry for the delay, but our engineers have been extremely busy and have worked through the night to attempt to resolve the current issues.

When we have more information that we can release, we'll be sure to update everyone as soon as we can.

Hmm.. My learning queue will finished in 2 days. So I don't loose my SP. But at any way I'm working and I have time to play only at weekend (Not just 1 hour on planetary management) And I lost my playing time. Of course I want a compensation and I think that best solution - extension of current payed time on 1 day.
Sorry for my English.

Um, just how do you think the skill queue works, anyway? Perhaps you've noticed you can't queue up more than a 24 hours of training?

If you're a new pilot with a lot of short skills left to train, you can tack on a longer skill at the end (unless you're a real new pilot and don't have any yet). But once you get to the point where pretty much all available skills are longer -- and your 10+ day skill is on its last legs -- you can't follow it up with another 10+ day skill until you let it burn down to less than a day.

And some of us have lives, and only have time to update our queues at certain times of the day.

Your "prior planning" theory is nice, but sadly lacking in real-world practicality.

Well, that wasn't fun. Server still isn't up though and I've run out on skill queue on a character, that one was frantically trying to get ready for the battlecruiser skills changes which, if the update goes through as planned, he'll miss.

Well, while Blizzard and all those others had user names and passwords stolen, CCP managed to pull the plug before bad things happened. I think that CCP has the best network engineers out there. Just waiting to see how the DDoS will be mitigated.

You must not have ever programed anything, or worked on any computer network.

Seems to me you might have too many teeth in your mouth, and maybe someone should fix that problem for you.

A company that has just performed a sustained twenty-four-hour security diagnostic, regularly updated three Twitter accounts and a Facebook page, and refuses to bring the system up until it's properly secured against further attacks....

...is incompetent?

:EDIT: I know, I know...don't feed the trolls. I'm cranky from EvE withdrawal, okay?

:EDIT AGAIN: TQ just popped online, according to Eve Offline.net. Serenity/SISI/API all look like they're up to stay.
