It seems like people need to be reminded that there is a major patch coming up in a couple of days, and that, without fail, stuff happens right around patch time.

Maybe not stuff this mangled, but stuff nonetheless.

CCP devs are doing everything they can do at ungodly hours to fix the authentication/login issues occuring at this moment. So, if you can't login, go watch a movie or something, and realize that the problem is being handled as fast as possible.

Personally, a 5-6 hour unscheduled downtime is nothing when you compare it to any of the other major MMO's out there.

the problem with these launcher issues is that we are having issues before they even try push us a patch through it. carrier 5 here i come.

You must be joking right, as this 'mass disconnect' has been going on for almost 2 days now... I'm living in Europe, and have experienced 'socket closed' disconnects and logon issues for 3 days, with disconnects obviously for a lot more people at same time for about 2 days...

i had to try repair... Start... repair... check server... repair... check server.. repair... then when trying to comuniate with Eve online internet sites got no connection .. did a problem solve with the windows 8 ptogramme which repaired the damaged internet connection & wolla could connect... still needed a repair after that before connecting ... not Saying theres any perticular formular you'll just have to try stuff... ? windows 7/8 try your problem solver on the actual problem when it gives the option...

I went to bed, everything was fine, I woke up, logged in an updated my skill queue (a nice 8 day one to be safe), tiny bit of Russian text at login but other than that everything is fine. Well done CCP for doing all this stuff during the night your time, can't imagine that will have helped diagnose the issues but still, moar coffee ftw Big smile

I understand most people's wanting to know a little briefing about what is happening, but with all due respect, you cant expect someone to explain step for step what is going on as they are attempting to ascertain the problem. Techs need to focus on the problem at hand. I would rather they spend their time focused on getting at the issue and solving rather then taking time out along the way to explain what has happened and how its being fixed. Its better to put that in a post after its been fixed.

Until then you will just have to be patient, knowing what is happening will not make it be resolved any faster. If you feel you can provide valued tech support on issues arising like this, I suggest perhaps applying to IT for CCP Games, then you can get your hands on the scenario when it happens :)

Yeah some people need to express themselves...

it is a good thing to overlook the malice..!!!. Eve online who?... can compare .. Eve is an amazing game no dout..but they do have a problem with the launcher.. lets hope the new upcoming Odyssey update can deal with that..

As said before playing with no problems couple of hours now. On Mac.

cough..cough.. Mac ... I have 1 & you'll have to do more than that to convince me :) have 4 computers & the 1 thats a mac is split hardrive & mainly used on windows :)...
