As of about 15 minutes ago, Seattle area seems to be functioning again. Still Russian language at login, but whatever.

Sadly, I cannot do international shipping from my home, or I'd send you devs a coffeepot (or three) to help!!

I'm finally in like 5hrs later and I can post for the first time since it started Big smile
The repair and run the .exe worked finally after trying it over and over for hrs. like a crazy person but, still seeing Russian and such
I live in North Carolina USA, windows 8
This launcher needs to be launched out an air lock before the update! I mean this is worse than the first fudge up by far, I don't want to see what hell it can reign down on us all come the 4th

It seems Deutch, Russian, and ?Chinese i think? all have correctly localized characters on the login screen. Switching to english makes Russian localization characters show on the login screen.

Sweet, game is back up for me! Now I can go back to sitting afk in the station on the sofa watching the tv feed while I work on a paper on second monitor! I just didint feel right not having eve open... :)

hmmmm.....weird issue here......now i have to actually use the "Alt-C" to open my inventory, the tab on the sidebar isn't working? is this a related issue or is it just my PC getting low on steam pressure?

This is all rather strange goings on.. all is not what it seems and when sometimes we see the light it all changes..... trying to answer an aswer that is not whats showing here lol .... Evil is a foot... careful you angels the devil will try his luck at cursing... fowel creature..

It's really closer to 6 hours because the 1st mass disconnect happened around 02:15. CCP isn't even acknowledging that part yet. The server population went from 36,000 to 24,000. Not long after that at around 02:35 or so a ton more people got booted off in the 2nd mass disconnect of the morning. So they may have taken TQ offline at 03:06 but there were serious and ongoing problems well before that.

My brain tells me the recent connection issues and the new launcher are unrelated, just an unfortunate coincidence. My gut is telling me something else. The fact that CCP can't even explain yet what happened Friday morning before downtime isn't making my gut feel any better.

It seems like people need to be reminded that there is a major patch coming up in a couple of days, and that, without fail, stuff happens right around patch time.

Maybe not stuff this mangled, but stuff nonetheless.

CCP devs are doing everything they can do at ungodly hours to fix the authentication/login issues occuring at this moment. So, if you can't login, go watch a movie or something, and realize that the problem is being handled as fast as possible.

Personally, a 5-6 hour unscheduled downtime is nothing when you compare it to any of the other major MMO's out there.
