5+ hours and counting ... zero ccp input, socket errors , foreign language appearing in launchers, more socket errors, forum locks all over the place

keep getting "socket close" here, and as always, the "restart" button don't work.

Might as well contribute my experience for anyone still unable to log in:

Was getting launcher errors codes, hit the gear at the top right of the launcher for the options menu, let the repair tool run (took 9 min on a 5400 RPM HDD), relaunched, said it needed to update, waited another 10 min, launched the game, been playing for a half hour with no 'socket closed'.

USA, crappy rural ISP, Windows 8 64 bit.

Coffee requests. That alone makes this worthwhile.

How else would I post in Russian without a Russian keyboard, also my spelling in Russian is strangely always correct where as my english ....well.

Dear Diary,

It has now been 5 hours since what we survivors refer to as 'the event.' Anarchy has resulted, as the masses of gamers attempted to exit their homes for the first time in months. I was prepared for this eventuality, however I fear my supply of hot pockets will eventually expire and I will be forced to train my cat to hunt for me, until I must eat the cat. My spirit is breaking, and I have only the mocking laugh of the Russians to help me through this dark time.
