pirate factions, actual factions

apart from Sansha's incursions, the other pirate factions doesnt actually have an influence on New Eden everydays life, so the concept is basically to give actual power to these factions. how?

1. FW: allow players to join the pirate factions via factional warfare, this form of FW would go throught null sec and low sec, and would allow to take control of empire space for these factions, the rewards?, lp for spending in new ships and modules.

2. more pirate ships: once CCP has finished the balance of the current stock of ships. we can focus in this, right now we have the current fleet composition:

-frigate

-cruiser

-battleship

while this is an interesting approach, it lacks something, and now that we have navy BCs we should add more to the mix:

-pirate rookie ships: the cheapest and the first entry for pirate players, unlike common rookies, they would have to be bought, but they wouldnt need LPs, only isk.

-pirate destroyers

-pirate battlecruisers

-pirate capitals: both dreads and carriers

-pirate supercapitals: supercarriers, they would be the last ships in the pirate line, this would mean adding the Revenant as an avaliable ship too. the reason is both for more content in terms of incursions and also, cause at this point, pirate factions should have almost the same power lvl than the four empires. specially taking in account their territories.

apart from the rookies, all the other ships would be only obtainable with LPs and ISK (along with tags and other stuff), like with any other capital, these pirate capital ships would require a capital construction array.

3. pirate incursions: extend the incursion mechanics to allow for more tipes of invasions, revamping the mechanics to put pirate capitals and supercapitals to the mix, increasing the challenge. the blueprints for the pirate ships would have of course a chance to drop from the wrecks.

I really doubt that mases of new pirate ships needed before rebalance is finished.

that's why i pointed to take it in the board after the whole rebalance......only when all the current ships had been revised and changed i propose to put this in consideration for the future expansions

Pirate rookie ships already exist.

And also, what do you mean by making the revenant available? It already is. It's just incredibly rare and really not worth the effort.

Pirate factions should really be more dominant in their 0.0 regions and more presence in low sec.

Once good raiding mechanics are available it would make sense for pirate factions to raid POS in 0.0
It would be nice to see pirate titans/capitals take on POS in 0.0.
A proper incursion that would be.

'Tech3 ships need to be put down, like a rabid dog drooling everywhere in the house, they are out of line' CCP Ytterbium Nerf missile range into place where is the TD missile change?  ..projectiles should use capacitor. ABC's should be T2 HABC and nerf web strength its still too high

No, forcing people to rat in order to keep their stuff really wouldn't be fun. Ratting is dull, forced ratting won't be any better.

that's the point, making them usefull for something. revenants aren worth the effort cause they're rare and have issues in terms of efficience compared to other supercarriers.

while the pirate rookie ships were just given for the people at fanfest.

its pretty annoying to see good ships and models be used just as hangar decoration, only cause CCP keeps making them special event only.

this, while making people actualy give a **** about their space structures is a nice idea, using rats for it isnt the soluttions, other players can take that job
