Hi,

playing eve for about a month, I realized that I was shoveling a lot of windows around. The UI is so cluttered that you can barely see space around your ship.

I connected an old 19" LCD and voila: with the 2nd monitor EVE becomes gorgeous. I never ever want to go back.

In fact I plan to buy me a new 27" 1440p Monitor, together with my 23" 1080p and the 19"@1280x1024.

A lot of my friends have multi monitor setups and I can now see why. LCD's seldom break, so naturally nowadays multi monitor setups are becoming the new default.


Now to the Problem:

- 1920x1080 + 1280x1024 means there is some part of EVE below the 2nd screen I can't access. Some right mouse menus are unuseable, because they extend through the 56 pixel rows I can't see @3200x1080. With a 1440p Monitor about 30% of the EVE GUI become unreachable.

- Good monitors have pivot, but using a monitor with 1920 rows would make lots of screen space unavailable to EVE.

- Multi-Monitors are mostly placed in a curve to make the 2nd and 3rd screen the same distance to a central viewer. EVE can't be adjusted acordingly.


Solution:

EVE needs viewport settings to separate UI canvas from 3D view. Allowing for a more freely, natural setup, making the Game even more eye candy and better playable at the same time...

Eve client itself needs only 1 monitor, 2nd monitor needed for normal browser, music/video player, chat/voice applications etc.
