I want to watch the world burn!

I lived in null for a while before finding how horribly boring life is in the blue ring, and after finally seeing a little bit of action (unfortunately I was in a pve-fitted cane as I was caught off-guard) I realized that high-sec is more profitable overall so now I'm level 4ing as a carebear...

I really do not want to do this as I want to do lots of peeveepee, so I have a few options for me, although I have extremely little pvp experience so it can be hard to join a pvp-esk corp.

1: FW. Seeing as I am a Caldari mission runner joining the Amarr would allow me to make some iskies in lvl 4s to buy and fit pvp ships for the best FW pvp faction due to the large amounts of people in Minmatar both FW isk farming and protecting the isk farmers. It sounds fairly good to me but there are other, more tempting options.

2: Joining a low-sec piracy corp could be fun, but the fights are massively one-sided and low-sec isn't the best for the number of fights I would get in a day.

3. Joining a wardec corp sounds a bit better. Even though most fights will be one-sided, there will be quite a few 'the hunter becomes the hunted' situations plus merc corps being paid to defend the miners/indys to fight, so lots of dakka and pew pews to be have there. But...

4. I still feel quite sour at how nullsec went for me, being promised large fleet fights and getting nothing but boredom for months followed by a few ganks seems rather crap. The blue ring with just stagnant moon-mining seems boring as hell and only really caters for the CEOs and their friends, which puts me to what I really want to join which is a corp/alliance that wants to destroy all that! I do not care for having sov over anywhere, what I want to join is a corp that produces fleets that not only fight the blue ring, but also disrupts their mining/indy operations, destroy their moon-goo extractors, tackle and bash their caps, and generally want wholesale destruction! (Which is what I thought that EVE was really all about when I started it).

So what I want to know is are there any corps/alliances out there that do this and what do they want skill-wise from me so I can start to really train both in in-game skills and in my actual pvp skills.

1. FW is about farming not PVP.

2. Lowsec is about talking on teamspeak and maybe killing shuttles, not pvp.

3. Wardec corps are about sitting in Jita in insta-nados, or metagaming - not pvp.

4. Nullsec is about farming isk and OTEC means that pvp really is just a pastime.

5. Wormholes are about 20 T3s ganking a single stupid exhumer, and elitism.

Join RvB and get your feet wet, then look for a PvP corp. A lot of players in RvB have mucho experience and connections to help you on that path.

Or just cruise around low sec in FW space without doing FW. Expect to get a few 2 on 1's, but you will also find other like minded people looking for a dust up.

You will definitely be able to find a corp that can offer what you are looking for Smile

Now the problem is actually finding that one corp that you are able to settle in and you feel that benefits just as much from having you as a member, as you benefit from being a member.
So, my only advice to you is read over this thread. It has advice from several recruiters, and recruits on what to look for, how to do proper research, were to look and how to present your self to a recruiter.

I didn't find it that hard to find a fun PVPcentric null corp.
There are plenty of decent corps and alliances is null sec if you want to pvp.
Finding a nullsec corp that offers both gudfites and safe reliable nullbearing might be trickier but i am sure such things do exist.
Basically do some research on a corp/alliance before you join to make sure of a good match Smile

You joined a ****** little renter alliance and were surprised when they didn't do PvP.

If you want a decent null sec experience then join a decent null sec alliance.

Wait - so you got killed once and gave up on nullsec? High sec is "more profitable" than your (single) hurricane loss? ROFL, you were doing it wrong. Very, very wrong.

I was already bored and contemplating leaving at the time, and once I had lost my main ship I thought I may as well go now and use my insurance money plus what I had made to buy a BS in highsec.

if you want pvp, play dust. :D

PROVIDENCE.

Seriously, if you want active null sec with lots of PVP, come to Provi!

Doesnt matter if you decide to be a pirate and shoot everyone or if you live the honourable life of NRDS, there are plenty of targets in Provi and we will welcome you with open arms either way. [in the case of pirating, both arms will be equiped wih guns aiming at you.]

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

Sounds good! I'll keep looking around a bit more just in case something else pops up but it sounds like a lot of fun so I'll probably be joining you there.

I am not usually the douche who comes up with killboard stats, but according to the impressive accumulated 5 pvp victories in your entire career maybe the suggestion with RvB would be the best for now.
Come explode some cheap ships with us, get killed, rinse and repeat- laugh it off and get at least some pvp experience here before you head to Provi.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

0/10

Given how much safer it can be in the BFE of nulsec for the same (if not more) rewards, obvious troll is obvious.

We aren't hiring.
