The new Launcher too bad, even worse than the Incarna.

CCP make simple things complicated.
And Launcher only beta, instability, many bug, user unfriendly.

TO CCP:
Your user feedback forum is furnished?
Your QC on holiday?
Your the similar launcher on China servers Serenity has been scolded for a year, you don't know?

The new launcher thing is a mess, but it most definately does not warrant a structure shoot.

Start shooting it yourself. Maybe people will join you.

I'm pretty sure CCP only makes the launcher buggy for bad-posters like yourself.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.

This is definitly not worse than the pay-to-win scandal. People go and shoot the monument everyday for whatever petty reason they deem important.

Of course those people also hit the biomass button and then post lengthy QQ threads on the forums right after.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

My new launcher works perfectly well, thanks.

Yep. New launcher is operational, and otherwise meh. No change in quality-of-life so far as I see.

I think it looks better as a Haiku. Don't you?

New Launcher got me free skill points, and no loss in training time. Thanks CCP! You guys are awesome. Also it works great for me now I've switched over to it. I kept using the old one for a day or so. And now they have rapidly ironed the bugs it seems nice.

You must be looking for the Circle Jerk Society. Look 'em up. They're there. I hear good things about their activities in Jita.

Launcher isn't on the same level as Incarna. It will get worked out in time, ignoring feedback and releasing halfassed "upgrades" is kind of CCP's SOP.

Even the 'boot.ini' case wasn't as bad as the issues bundled with Incarna which triggered the masses to riot and unsubscribe.

The new launcher is simply a new direction which has arrived with insufficient messaging: we've known it was coming for some time, CCP has been engaging us in discussion about whether it crashes or not through testing on Singularity. As usual, any time you want to complain and call something "bad", it's worth taking a few seconds to consider what it is about the new thing that you don't like.

Here's a primer list to help people focus their unease into productive conversation with CCP:

  • No more animated & musical theme screen (that's the bit that sits behind the MOTD and login form)
  • Not as easy for multiboxers to launch multiple instances of EVE

Add your own gripe to the list, and this gives CCP something concrete to fix to make you happy Big smile

Talk about overreacting, the launcher problems are a minor glitch in the overall scheme of things. It's nowhere near as bad as Incarna or the Boot.ini fun and games of the past.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Yes. I think it deserves a replay:

Launcher works fine for me, I even prefere it to the old one. Sure for the first day it was buggy but they ironed out the creases and its actually loads quicker for me to log on.

I find everyone that complains that something new doesn't work straight off amusing as hell. Its not like ccp didnt apologise for any of the disruptions caused, they did, and they smoothed it out and sorted it quicker too.

Im sorry if you couldn't log on during a whole day... (there was a way around it by going through the .exe file) but why not take a lovely walk outside, or play a different game, or hell go round to a mates? People who complain like a baby when something doesnt go there way should just gtfo the internet...

It's human nature to want to explore. To find your line and go beyond it. The only limit, is the one you set yourself.
