If they want to know how many accounts i have...

1> ask
2> what happened to that 'master account' thing?
I would rather have a master account where I can manage all my accounts under 1 place.

oh, it has been getting harder for me to play these days.
i have gone from 12 paid accounts to 7

stop spending so much time on DUST
EVE is what made you

Hi, a quick update from Team Roundhouse Kick here: we read your feedback and we deployed on Sisi a new version of the launcher webpage that adds an autoplay feature in the form of a checkbox on the right bottom corner.

If checked, the launcher will start the client as soon as the user is logged in and the client is ready, so no additional click is required on your part. If you don't want this to happen, just uncheck it, the launcher will remember your setting either way.

This feature was tested internally and now we would like your feedback before pushing it to TQ, please use this thread here https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=230690

Thanks!

as posted in the sisi feedback topic

the auto play button is a bit better I guess but there is no focus on the password box STILL(extra clicks, you lied) and it still has issues remembering account names.
restart still dosnt work, guess the client and the launcher don't talk to each other that well, same with log off. put these button back in a working order please(otherwise extra clicks are required, you lied again)

funny if the server is starting up, you get the old login screen still. I do hope that stays as that means we can still by pass this thing

OMG when can i get a pic here

with the greatest respect, that has probably fixed something which is at the bottom of the list of things that needed doing.

Well, I tried logging out and back in several times using the new launcher, but I did not get my settings back. Setting up the UI is a PITA, I hate having to redo it every expansion. Why should a customer have to understand game programing, what files to copy and restore, just to be abler to play your game with less frustration.

Many gamers do not know these basics, others just can not be bothered. Besides, considering tampering with the program files may be considered an EULA violation, why would you make it necessary in order to avoid this frustration. How can the same developers make such an incredible game, and at the same time make such stupid mistakes and oversights??

As for the log off button, many people don't really use it to log off from the game, but rather as a quick means to quit the game and restart at the login screen.

That's what it was intended to do.

Log Off = quit game, reboot client to login screen.
Quit Game = quit game, close client.

Does it fix this problem:

Quote:
So....the new launcher.

I always mult-box and do not particularly want to have muliple instances of the launcer open just sitting there after I log on. So, I select the "close launcher after log on" option, just like I did with the old launcher....

BUT....when I want to swap characters on the same account, there is no longer a logoff button, only a quit game button. So now I have to re-launch the new crappy launcher, instead of just of the client automatically going back to the logon screen.

If not keep at it and get it sorted asap

Agreed, proper multi client support is an important feature. Back in the day, we used to have to start two clients to log in twice, but if we're going to have a launcher at all, rather than just directly starting the client, then it really should support multiple logins.

Yes. Seems to be working. Will we have to accept the EULA every time???Roll
First time logging on, all settings were gone. Relogged and they were returned.Cool.

The EULA should not appear every time. Apparently a localization backend update accidentally prompted players to have to re-accept the EULA after today's downtime but from here on you should only have to re-accept when we make changes to the text which shouldn't be a common thing.

I currently run with 8 client installs to make my gaming experience smooth. different settings for each client, monitor allocations etc etc.

so now im expected to keep 8 launchers open just incase I want to swap between toons on those accounts or i have to swap to 1 client, loose the bulk of my client specific settings and have the launcher only remember 7 account names.

This. Is not. An improvement.

THIS. IS NOT. AN IMPROVEMENT.

Why, with the myriad of things that DO need fixing would you go out of your way to "improve" something that worked?

Now excuse me while I go improve on the wheel by adding a flat side.

This is such a pain in the ass. Not being tech savvy its a total waste of time trying to log into eve for a couple of days after EVERY patch. And seeing as my launcher closes (and will not start up again with out me rebooting my pc) every time it the client starts I cant run my second account.

Hey an idea to help improve the dual account / dual screen setup, would be to let the launcher what screen to start up on, depending on the account..

Example; i got two accounts. If i write log in on fonac, it will start on my main screen. however i log in on my alt(let's call it fonac2)
Then it will start on the 2nd screen.

I had hoped this was introduced, by as it is right now i'm forced to use two clients instead of one.

So in essence you fixed a minor annoyance, but all the glaring log-in time extending multiple account forbidding log-in screen demolishing faults are still there?

Eh.......Roll

I'm not sure you read all the feedback, or maybe got the wrong message because this isn't the biggest of the issues. The thing is we had a system that was immersive, attractive and worked very well so why was it changed. A roll back or an explanation of why this happened would have been a much better start. Also making it clearer you understand what you have done is actually bad.

Hehe this brings up an interesting point. What did CCP Atropos think the button was for if not exactly what she described?

Thank you for updating us on this ONE issue. I did notice that I don't have to accept the EULA every freakin' time I log in starting this morning, so thanks.

May I humbly suggest a public read-only trouble ticket board for players to look at that can show us when reported issues (not just bugs, but issues such as those reported in this thread) are addressed INTERNALLY? Letting your PAYING userbase watch internal progress for problems reported by users goes a LONG way to customer satisfaction (which translates into good PR and cash for the company)...

Why would you remove functionality I now have two big pains in the ass:
1) Logging in multiple accounts and multiboxing sucks, why the hell the old login screen had to go god knows. I used to login multiple accounts at the same time a lot faster than I can now.
2) The logoff button in the game client is gone, I have a lot of indy alts and used this to log one out and log back in to the same account. I could be doing this one 3 clients at once logging in and out of each in turn.

Seperate the launcher from login again please.

I am also baffled as to why something called "Single Sign-On" would now actually require multiple instances of itself in order to allow multiple sign ons... THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO!

LOL! Leave it to CCP to do something like that Lol
