Sorry,
but I am very angry at the moment.

The new launcher deleted ALL my settings AND my overview-settings.

Try restarting the EVE Launcher.

That seemed to work in my case. Thank you.

Now that the new launcher works, I found that it totally sucks.

Thanks again CCP...
Thanks again for making it tedious to use the launcher..

As far as I can tell this launcher update is pretty bad.

I keep my clients running from different, junctioned folders to keep their settings separate. It also meant I didn't have to choose which account I logged into every damn time, because every folder was for a client that only ever logged into that one account.

All this is gone now. The launcher seems to have no regard whatsoever for folder junctions, or is storing its data in the program folder instead of the relevant settings folder.

Choosing which account you want to log into is janky as hell. I'll type in the name of another account and tab to the password box, and it's instantly gone back to what was in there before. It took me like six tries to even enter another account name in there and get it to work; I had to click. After you've done that, selecting another account apparently requires you to click on the dropdown every time regardless of where the launcher is run from, and even then it doesn't always work.

What the hell guys?

Edit: In the meantime, I have reverted to running exefile directly, changing my shortcuts from C:\asdf\EVE\eve.exe to C:\asdf\EVE\bin\exefile.exe, C:\asdf\EVE2\bin\exefile.exe etc. I guess I'll only use the launcher for patches and updates now until they get it fixed.

Really though, I would like someone of authority to explain to me why this change needed to be made, and how long it was considered before they thrust it in there. Furthermore, why wasn't this brought up to the playerbase for discussion?

I'm inclined to formulate my own answers, *Snip* Please refrain from personal attacks. ISD Ezwal

So we're we all getting to complacent? A few years with patches that roll out and work without reformatting your hard drive? Is nobody shuddering at an impending patch? Have we forgotten the need to sort out long train skills? Is it time to re-educate us in the ways of CCP?

In case you have not guessed, I'm not happy about the launcher, how badly it installed and how it reset my settings.

This may not be as bad as it seems at first but I only managed to initiate the login process before being so filled with rage that it would not have been a good idea to play. So I finished letting Eve load and quit to come here only pausing long enough to turn captains quarters off before exiting.

Just link to /bin/exefile.exe and enjoy the game client as long as you can. CCP can go to hell with the launcher.

Just realized after consultation with other players, I STILL HAVE THE OLD LAUNCHER RUNNING LolLolLolLol.

After the DT update for some reason mine host here held onto the one thing that has always worked....The TRUSTY OLD LAUNCHER, no messing around there, multiple clients neatly stored available at a single click when ever I wanted to log on.

Trying to be positive, seriously allow us to save the password, world of Tanks allows it, why can't EVE do the same?

its my personal PC, its my security problem, let me save the password in my pc, please.

Also allow us to create a master account with a login and password that I can use to associate all my accounts and if I use this account to login to EVE it should show me all my accounts and I just need to choose one and press PLAY, no need to input my password several times.

Log-in Screen screenshot

My log-in screen..

I just get "Sorry, but an error occured while processing your request.

Error code: BFC67FFC-53DF-4B83-853C-5CF23159DCFE"

Instead of the log-in button and the username and password field. I can't even start the game because the login button is completely gone!

Any ideas?

So my launcher won't even start. I mean no error codes, no hanging processes. Just nothing.
Tryed bth eve.exe and launcher.exe and repairing. Also tryed deleting both exes and THEN reapiring.
Didn't fix, have to playe the game through ExeFile.exe

Anybody know how to fix?

multy login still works for me

3 seperated installs with 3 shortcuts on desktop (with LUA OFF thingy in shortcut) after updating the launcher 3 times i get still have seperated settings for my 3 accounts.

would have been easier if the launcher would use a seperated setup for each account name you log in with so i dont need to have 3x install and launching the launcher 3 times.

and btw was it so hard to put in that after the install of the new launcher... the launcher shut down and relaunch..... its not that hard to do (hell i just updated LOTRO launcher and it did just that..update and restart launcher.)

and yeah where is the logoff button... even more...where is the logof to character screen button, CCP said last year at fanfest they would look into that for giving us this this year.

Meh, the fact that the launcher can log you into the game as it starts was a neat idea, just badly executed on the first release. If I could actually start multiple differentiated copies of the launcher in each junction and they would already know which account to log into, it wouldn't really be any different than what I'm used to.

I was looking forward to going home and play with my 3 main accounts, now I am in fear.
This EVE stuff is so important for us . We schedule RL acitivities around it, schedule 100's of players to do in game stuff and this totally shuts that down.

I am so glad I had my skill que in motion before I logged, but I think we should get some SP credit for what is esstentially an outage!
