Why the new launcher is worse (for me)

0. It deleted the list of my accounts (luxury problem i know, but trying to remember all the logins... phew)

1. it only gives me 7 names in the dropdown list. The old one gave me a list of all... (again, luxury problem)
Why the limit? only so i can see the advertisement bottom left?!

2. Typing the password wrong, switches the account back to some default from the list as well ... cool feature, i guess, but annoying as hell

3. When password was wrong, dropdown list only shows 6 and a half entries .. someone in Dev forgot space requirements for the red error line?

4. Why the need to add more clicks? Old launcher was one click to login and launch, now its login and THEN launch.
Same goes for loging in another account. Old launcher would just allow me to switch name (see pt. 1), give password and launch. now i have to "switch user", type in account name (cause it may or may not be in the drop down), give password (and pray not to make a typo), login and then launch...

Anybody else sees the difference?

I can see the merits of having time-wasting mini games, but please NOT in the launcher.

To rub it in, the buddy invites add down bottom left advertises "one-click link" ... having just lost that "one-click does it" in the launcher.

Is there a way to make the old launcher work again? or change that frustrating behaviour?

The drop down list being 7 is annoying at first, but then I realised, o wait, I can type the first letter of my username for each char and it shows them in the list, meaning a lot less scrolling and searching!

Mine is very Spartan... very clean.

It might be because it says im offline but im not sure.

Mine is clean now as well...
Being logged in on 3 accounts and then restarting the launcher, seems that was a mistake
no connection to content server

thats the good stuff directly from DEV, bypassing QA cause of holidays i guess

I think i will just do this. even the characterlist is still in there and all.
Only start the new launcher when its necessary to apply patches.
Day-to-day gaming being done with a direct link.

(same as I do with WoT)

The point of the launcher it to replace the old login screen to an extent.

We're in a transitional period so yeah things are gonna be weird for a while. But in essence the old act of penning up to the big awesome login screen, typing in password, and clicking connect is being replaced by the launcher and I guess the old login screens are going to be the places we do character select.

In the end we hope to gain the ability to change character without a client restart :D

Thank you so much for this, the new launcher made all my settings go away, I wont be using it....

And if you had read the feedback thread you'd know that simply restarting the launcher solves it :D
