And another quick but fundamental point, What's the point of "Single Sign-on" if you are A. running multiple accounts on the same PC or B. actually using the client?

I don't know about you but when I'm playing eve, I have it full screen and I'm not trolling about on the forums. Yes I get it that you could log in through the IGB and read the forums but I could count the number of times I've done that since creating my account on my toes....

I've resorted to bypassing the launcher till you guys go back to the drawing board and fix this.

Why do you need to add more hoops to jump through to get online?

So after being able to update the launcher I was excited to see how nicely it had come along from the pervious version. Upon further inspection I realized that CCP took away the bloody login screen! smh. Why did you do that? Why?! Please bring it back because I would sometimes just sit and watch the login screen for a while and I would love to have it back please.

The launcher is not working through the Steam client. Just getting different Error Codes each time I start the launcher. I have run the repair tool several times, open and closed steam several times and still can only run the game through the bin folder with none of my saved settings? Is this going to be fixed? Shocked

It's still there. Go to your EVE directory, then to /bin and just make a shortcut to "exefile.exe" This will bypass the ******** launcher and offer you the usual login screen. One that actually remembers your login and has only one enter to start the game instead of login and then play.

Once they patch eve it will tell you that it's wrong protocol. Run launcher then to patch the game and go back to loging in easy and fast instead of slow and convoluted.

Not a fan of the new launcher, it says I have no internet connection, both links work but are slow. All my overview / game settings have been reset. Is there a way for us to get the "logoff" button. Quitting the game and having to reload it is not the best way to switch toons. Overall a poor release for the launcher.

Good to know CCP is keeping with their tradition of breaking the game as soon as it gets good.

Seriously, the original launcher was bad enough, why are you doing this? Noone wants this.

PS. We all love having to redo all our settings. Do that every patch! That's what we want!

For once, I'm actually glad to be running the Mac client. We still have the old launcher, a login screen, everything. It's great!

I really wish that you guys would announce such things, so we can actually back up our settings beforehand, so when a simple client patch doesn't end up in re doing chat settings/ locations and w/e i need to do now.. ggRoll

Eve patch always literally always means one thing redo my entire UI. after 7 years it kinda becomes old that joke..

No no. Redoing your chat channels, your overview, your interface settings are all part of the game. EVE is real yo.

Thanks for fixing the web site, that fixed the launcher. Without the launcher, my settings would have been lost. Oh boy it really gets me mad when my settings are lost.

BTW is there a documentation on where they're saved now, and how to backup and restore them? I'd REALLY love to be able to do that on account of, you know, patch issues.

Anyway, hope you have some ideas how to make the Launcher more resilient now and please make sure whoever is responsible for the launcher is aware that that is a real issue that makes simple customers like me really mad, and don't just let her or his point his or her finger at the Web Team.

Once again, thank you for getting it fixed, now make sure it stays fixed.
