EVE Launcher update on May 21, 2013

Confirmed it works for me. The shortcut to *\bin\exefile.exe in on my desktop and it completely bypasses the funky "launcher".

Is there a Mac equiv to this?.. the file structure is seemingly identical.. but we cant launch via .exe

They're claiming that the launcher update didn't cause this, but it seems like everyone who bypasses it using ExeFile can log in fine (which they say should be affected as well). I call shenanigans.

Also, to people likening this to boot.ini, is your OS still working? Yes? Then it isn't nearly as bad.

Ran the game repair tool. was very slow in responding and appeared not to be working but it was and fixing the program it took two attempts.

Then I ran the client got the error message cannot connet to eve. *This was a smallish box and not the usual looking screen.
Had a choice of either closing or starting Eve . selected start eve. It bypassed the launcher altogether and gave me a logon screen .

Poceeded to logon. worked twice


CONFIRMING THIS WORKS

but the launcher still shows its in offline mode .. just by-pass the launcher and open the eve client direclty after u used the repair tool ... its working ...

ccp get rid of this **** who forced this broken launcer updated manually my accounts logging in with info accepting eula and then the play buton is broken

i feel a statue going to be bashed soon

go fix this asap havent been able to log for hours now

GUYS RUN THE REPAIR TOOL (you will need to 2 times), then run the game from the ExeFile.exe file in the bin folder and you will have no issues... someother people might need to get their files from Chriba, not sure of the link.

I wonder how much the player driven eve economy is going to be affected seems as about 75% of the players can't log on,
