Can everyone stop whining about CCP and the developers. This game is running 10 years and more beautifull content (ok, the bounty system is a bit too much) is added every day. The developers are working hard and this one time it fails in a logn time, everyone starts calling names to CCP.

Please, wait a day or use this patch (and start the bin/exe file) http://eve-files.com/temp/eve-update-20130521.zip

What are you new or just a CCP Alt.

CCP failure is a regular occurrence when launching new code. Nearly enough to warrant CCP being used in as slang such as "Dude did you hear Steve totaled his car", "really he CCP'ed it"

Regardless of how much prompting THEY never seem to listen to the user base phucking pratts.

As for waiting a day or so, why the hell should i wait at all. I paid my subscription now provide the content you promised.

got on via the bin file.

C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin is the route if eve is in default location

The most awesome thing about your post is that your portrait looks like you actually come from Glasgow, in fact, I may know you or several unrelated people who look a LOT Like you :P

Thanx again CCP for making it almost impossible to play your game.

I assume your Q&A department had not done any stresstesting of how this fancy new login would work when all your users actually was going to start using it..

I'm currently repairing the repair tool to fix the launcher so that it can update to a new shiny launcher that will let me open the client by rummaging through the bin and get past the level 5 protocol boss and collect the 10 lousy interface circuits hidden in the exploding UI radial dial .
I am not liking this new hacking mini game.

Don't forget you'll have to do this everytime you want to launch Eve. At least until you get the new hacking skills up to lvl 5 Shocked

You have made us all very aware that this game has been going 10 years, but you still seem unable to deploy an update or patch without mistakes/delays or other mistakes occurring. Why do you not thoroughly test these prior to release? Why 10 years later are we still seeing the same issues? And of course why is it that we, the paying customer (as so many others have pointed out), do we not get any compensation (i.e. game time), for lost hours caused by unscheduled mistakes by YOUR team.

Its ok, I wont expect a reply.

Dear CCP,

Thanks for borking my game again. I have tried the proposed solutions listed but still no joy. I am not as tech savvy as some on here so i dont want to risk wrecking my entire install.

I do have a question for CCP, why arent you on here posting solutions to the problem you created instead of relying on your player base to sort out your mess again. I havent even seen a post from CCP saying sorry we got it wrong, or what CCP is doing to fix it, or any idea of timescale for a solution.

This thing wasn't working on Singularity properly either, I had to remove all the spaces in the EVE folder for it to work properly there.

Anyway, my wife wants to extend her thanks to CCP for rolling out a launcher that is successfully preventing me from playing EVE.

It would be great if you could supply us with your logs, or file a bug report with them.

It would be better if CCP listened to their customers while they are giving constructive feedback from use of 'new shiney' things on SiSi... (or actually tested things themselves before pushing to TQ)

I don't remember anyone in the launcher feedback thread absolutely glowing with praise and urging you to rush this to TQ...

Getting the offline error message.
Trying to load directly from the bin folder and it just keeps trying to go through the patch process and I can't get past that screen...fail.

CCP needs to FIRE the developers and programmers responsible for this and hire programmers who actually ACTIVELY PLAY EVE.

NOW I know why eve up dates are free. You get what you pay for. I wonder if people who work at ccp play the game while at work or writing these codes or whatever. We pay for the game and it should work or give us all our invested efforts and money back. I think it is conflict of interest that CCP workers are allowed to play the game. It would explain why they got rid of teck two bpo lottery but did not remove the teck 2 BPOs. How they have their own closed space that only a few players allowed to live in. BPO were given away to friends of ccp. To make certain alliance stronger. It is true that CCP pees play the game but they have ships we only wonder about. If this is a sand box and gm and ccp or what ever that runs the game needs to stop playing god sith ships that can use smart bomsb to 200 km and 99 percent resist, You guys don't play game like us. Is this a shame so you gusy can have apying job and a enclosed space where to make unique ships and what ever that we will never use or see. why nerf crap and break things. Come on now ccp we are paying for the game that I snot working can we have our money back from your pay checks.

Omg, you did it again. In 5 min a whole cluster f*ck. Only CCP devs are able to do this. Where is the quality control? Didn't you learn anything from the failures of the past years? Why this now again? What is SSO good for if i have 2 clients running at same time? A race condition then who gets the login? To me it looks like this is the best tested piece of code I saw in the last 6 months:

- launcher can't keep user names
- can't just log off to change to alt on same account (with 2 clients open), only quit and logoff safely.
- first launch just ignores previous settings
- SSO completely useless
- fancy launcher design is camouflaging programming incompetence

Don't tell me you didn't see this on your machines before rolling this piece of junk out.

PS: Reminds me of your bug reporting page where you couldn't login if your account password had special chars in it because the web server config didn't support it, lmao.

i wonder if CCP tested this before launching the new launcher =S

anyone got a work arround for repair tool not working? seems CCP broke everything at once

saying that, i like how the players are finding work arrounds quicker than CCP are.... hmmm

Get http://eve-files.com/temp/eve-update-20130521.zip, unzip in your eve folder, start bin/ExeFile.exe, be happy. Once the webserver responsible for launcher content is fixed, you can use the launcher again.

The new launcher seems to be working fine, or as intended.

The only thing I'd like to see is a return of the log in screen, like the old launcher where you can turn it off unless there is an update. I'm constantly switching accounts and this makes it soooo slow to move from one account to the other.
