Can everyone stop whining about CCP and the developers. This game is running 10 years and more beautifull content (ok, the bounty system is a bit too much) is added every day. The developers are working hard and this one time it fails in a logn time, everyone starts calling names to CCP.

Please, wait a day or use this patch (and start the bin/exe file) http://eve-files.com/temp/eve-update-20130521.zip

Can you add a button to the launcher that just launches the client as many times as we click it so we can log in to multiple characters like we have been doing for the last, beautiful 10 years?

Hrm, same as people up to page 27 of this thread here (stopped skimming past that point) - "offline mode". Bypassing via the direct exefile.exe doesn't work due to "Incorrect Protocol". Repair tool? Nope, nopenopenope. ... Wait, after a long time of waiiiiiiiiiting, the repair tool does something, oh yay, it's "fixing" (patching the client, more like), and voila, bypass works. But, the repair tool also took it's time (and more than one attempt) to get it to work.

:ccp:

... Wtb: tested patches.

Edit: those links, they refuse to load (as in, didn't finish after 10 minutes).

After the new launcher uploaded Eve will not start. The launcher has no 'start eve' button, it is laggy and has parts that fade to black. I cannot find any means to start eve without the launcher. I have tried to file bug reports but I get Error 500 Internal Server Error from Eve.

I can connect to the first link, but the second one times out.

From what I remember it WAS tested and most of the feedback was ignored.

this worked for me and 3 other guys from corp.
its been confirmed that this only works with original install dir.. (not copyed files)

And you good sir, appear to misunderstand my words. :) I've got the game running now (thanks to Chribba).
However I literally do not have a repair.exe, as in, the file does not exist. It's not hidden (I checked), it's simply not there.

Which is a bit odd, I would assume it would be included in one of the patches (all things considered, this client has been through 3 years worth of client updates on this PC, it's never been uninstalled or reinstalled, so I would think it would have been patched in at some point). Maybe I need to download a fresh install for a change. Lol

Right, so I had the same problem.

To fix this, and to get in, run the repair.exe, let it download the 23.5mb and the 6.1mb ****, have it repair, then navigate to your bin folder, run the ExeFile, and it should work. Did for me.

Unfortunately, even 'repair' isn't working. It says it can't open client.eveonline.com/patches/repair_info.txt.

Damn forums won't let me post the actual error (keeps saying I can't post HTML).

So stop using the Launcher. Period. Several solutions have been mentioned already, so read thru the thread.

Eve is generally working well. This is the first really bad bug we have since a long time. I think CCP has earned a bit of advance good-will. And they are surely dont work harder or faster when you insult them, you wouldnt either.

Agreed. Let's try to be adults about this folks. Leave the hateful remarks for the WoW forums.

The bug is a pain in the arse, but I could live with t if I knew what I had to deal with.

The problem is that there is no information from CCP about what we should do, what they are doing or how long it is estimated to take to fix. I literally have no information from CCP about what I should be doing. All I have is this link "Restart Launcher". Which doesn't do anything except restart the launcher and present me with the same useless "Offline Mode".

There are lots of wanna be CCP people trying to find a work around. There are even wanna be commnications people (like you) trying to calm the masses. Where the hell is CCP? It's after hours in Iceland, for all we know they gone home!

(I doubt they have, but they not telling us anything)
