Try running the repair.exe from the command line with the argument --safemode:

repair.exe --safemode

I kept getting exeptions until just now when it all of a sudden started in offline mode, which it hadnt done before. awesome, swapped one problem for the other one.

I will admit, when I went into the C folder looking to launch the game another way, I was tempted to just uninstall everything after this fiasco.

And, for the DEVS attempting to help, I appreciate your responses beginning with the first page of this thread; HOWEVER,
It seems we need a DEV with the coding, technical understanding of the game and patch info, as well as files in the folders. No offense, but "niceties" go out the window when tech support information is what most of us here need.

EDIT For information that may already exist between pages 7 and 29 of this thread, I apologize. I just did not see 1/2 my day going to delving through the rest of our fine players saying" FIX MY ****, YO" or "CCP NICE UPDATE."

This actually worked for me as well, it completely bypasses the "Launcher" and gets straight to the meat and potatoes of the game.

I said this in the sisi launcher thread - the thing wasn't even remotely ready, it's badly thought out, and now you just oopsed the entire game over it.

The server died. And yes, I can't be sure it is a hardware problem, but a system breaking under heavy load is indicative of a hardware related issue. The client side of the launcher works, it's the server that has the problem. And nice try with the "CCP alt detected". I smiled a bit.

Yeah I was wondering if I missed the patch announcement.

Once again - a stealth patch, but apparently the cloaking module decided to mis-click once again and here we are... GANKED!!
Unfortunately, customers were the victims and this thread is the km. I'd say the ratio was outstanding for CCP.

If you aren't training, that's your fault. CCP implemented the training queue years ago.

They know that they have an issue, they're working to fix it. Be patient.


At 18:12 my main has finished training (right now 18:39) and was going to resume training in this one. Can you queue between two chars? It's not the time spent in fixing this (repair.exe still have not crashed, and it's the first time), but it's time spent in this and not in other things, like my final DW project in software engineering, 'cause CCP don't pay someone to do proper QA. That's why we whine.
BTW, repair.exe still have 01h50m+

Any idea when you guys will fix this? Will it be after something that you need to tweak thats not broken?

Thought I should join this little parade,

Yup, my launcher wont start, I dont even get offline mode, it just doesnt start.

Opening via the /bin thing however, gets me to the login page but with an incompatable protocol error

I ran the repair tool, first time it crashed, 2nd time it patched itself, then it failed 3 times posting its error report to a folder which doesnt exist, then it fixed eve and I can login via the /bin method \o/

and we say CCP are dumbing down the learning curve of EvE? lol
EvE online, when even patching the game pwns noobs :)
