EVE Launcher update on May 21, 2013

All my settings, windows, channels, overview and drone groups are gone.
Basically the UI has lost all memory , and I have to redo all settings for all my chars on all accounts.

that is a couple of hours I will never get back, could ccp not have made a news flash in the old launcher before doing this change.

I want an appology from CCP

Launcher is borked. I can't log in. Can start Eve client manually, but client needs update...

Maybe works for Windows as well if you just wait on the log in screen for 5-10 minutes when u see incompatible protocol after bypassing the launcher

Everything was fine for me just before the patch, but now nothing seems to be working. I cannot check my characters' ISK balance through any apps, the new launcher says I am offline, the repair tool gets stuck and does not run, launching EVE through steam says incompatible protocol, and launching exefile.exe either gives me an error or says "no connection".

I've had the launcher up for half an hour and the repair tool running for an hour and nothing has happened so far, it hasn't picked up any updated or fixed any files.

I have to fling my monkey poo at this!

been trying to run the repair tool for an hour now and still no luck I keep getting "there were errors" nonsense...

You just had Fanfest 2013 and you spoke about how well as a company you are doing AND you have your 10th Birthday which you made into a really big thing and then you release this updated launcher, even though the "old one" was quite new and worked! yes it WORKED I mean this is the first thing you release after your 10th Birthday and its broke LOL is this what you spent time on devolving? you should of focused on more important things like... OPENING THE DOOR!!!

This worked, when you get the message about incompatable protocol....update from that window, that seemed to make it update and install rather than just downloading.

any btw many people are online with the success of running the exefile in the bin folder of your ccp folder. try it and if it doesn't work oh well. They are working on the issue. Problems happen

My work with programming comes with some understanding. You cant find every problem... would take years for a team to do it. So that is why you release your product to the world and get feedback on issues. They then recreate it and find the problem that way (BUG REPORTS).

Give them time. I am sure a 911 call went out somewhere in the world and all of CCP are at work with huge 55 gallon drums of lube trying to figure out how to grease this puppy up so it will run good for a few more days.... geeze have fun with this forum instead of crying like a baby...im playing eve and minecraft booyah

Well I got it to work ONCE (laggy as Sh*t) using the "right click, run as admin" trick from the Eve folder itself and after doing all the manual repairing bit (that we shouldn't have to do) then went to check on another toon and noticed something.

Log Off - is no longer an option, you have to just quit the game and restart the launcher over. At that point, I'm back to the same 'ol "Offline Mode - Server Status Unkown" awesome.
