How many times do we have to tell you not to fix things that are not broken? Everytime!

And what, did you give the QA / Test department the week off? Tell them their bugs are bullshit and you'll fix it later? When? After people quit there subscriptions?

Stop telling people to file bugs, get on the forums and start talking to them. Its your fault this is happening. Your test environment and live environment need a synching. Meanwhile roll back the launcher it's obviously completely ****** up and not ready.

Way to lower the bar. Has any of you work for Microsoft?

No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher.

Took like 40-50 tries to get the repair tool running, it downloaded some data and then vanished like it crashed or something, nothing more happened.

Ran it again maybe 5 times and nothing happened, 6th time or so it says "Starting...", sits like that for 3-5 minutes and then it goes active, takes 5 minutes or so until it completes

Now i could start eve by using exefile.exe, i don't dare touch the launcher until maybe next week as one can only assume it will mess everything up again..

Didn't work at the end. :(


run repair.exe over and over, for me it failed to do anything several times but it eventually worked. Then you'll discover that there's a patch for the game client that the repairer will download - that solves the protocol problem which will then allow you to start the game from the bin folder.

Absolutely infuriating...

I manually downloaded the launcher, get offline mode

Manually launch the game, I get incompatible protocol

Wait a few and it asks me to patch, when I run the patch it completes successfully, but DOWNGRADES THE LAUNCHER and STILL gives me "Incompatible Protocol" when I launch the game manually.

Wait a few minutes, it asks me if I want to patch, and the whole process starts all over again.

I cannot access either of the sites posted by the DEV earlier.


I get that you guys do a lot to build and maintain your game (the best game out there IMHO), but this was an EXTREMELY sloppy launch day by any measure.

Please get back to us on how to fix this.

CCP, we had a RED PEN MINING OP PLANNED... but now.
