5/8/2013 live event: gallante dreads VS minmatar Dreads (both sides were being stubborn)

happened in gallente space, coelie system, gallante won. moros tore the naglfar to shreds with capsuleer assistance


big shout out to Grideris for managing to get the fleet to change on the fly to neuts to help take out the minmatar dreads.


lasted about an hour, and as usual, concord arrived lateRoll


minmatar refused to stop firing even when they knew they had lost

Sieged Dreads. Never saw it coming honestly. My blood chilled the moment I heard that on D-Scan being confirmed. And with Nafalgars, neuting them to a standstill wasn't an option.

LMAO, i had to do a 180 and grab a dragoon. gosh damn that was hilarious, the man knows you to well Grideris.

i mean, hell, had they done this after Odessey everyone could have grabbed their Geddons and drone/neut blobbed them.

If we had just neuted everyone, the Nags would have just mopped up the field. A Moros needs cap to fire; Naglfars don't.

Like I said, you magnificent bastard. I just hope this doesn't mean every event will be dreadnoughts shooting each other from now on.

It's not that concord was late. I was under the impression that they can't intervene in empire vs. empire matters.

from what i understand, their very existance is to prevant what happened today (minmatar blowing up their HQ though might make them a bit less eager to interfere with people bashing them into planets)

It was a pretty cool event (I was enjoying zooming around the field in a terribly fit 4kms atron).
Just wish we'd been able to avert the violence somehow.

The question no-one has asked. How were cap ships moving through the systems?
Are those gates large enough a Dread can actually use them?
Since unless I've gone mad, Dreads can't normally move gates.

And if they were pressing deeper on into Gallente space, how were they getting there if not via gate?
What happened to the cyno jammers.
