SMA dropping disappearing cans and no ships

So after shooting a couple of SMAs I've noticed they are no longer ejecting the stored ships but dropping cans that disappears after a second.. Now wth is this? Sort of removes a good deal of profit in POS bashing..

any work-arounds for this or just another working-as-intended?

been this way since unified inventory if i recall correctly

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
