Fact 1: Men are less likely to read fictions than women
ref: http://www.princeton.edu/culturalpolicy/workpap/WP06%20-%20Tepper.pdf

Fact 2: The great majority of EVE players are males.

Fact 3: Mostly, only EVE players maybe interested in those fictions.

Combine fact 1,2 and 3, we can get the conclusion: the true story website is highly likely to be fail.
(kk you may argue that those stuff are "true stories", not fiction, but they are practically fiction to people who didn't involved in)

I'm not saying the attempt to make an out-of-game branch is bad, but seems the novel reading is going to be a bad idea.

A more hilarious fact: for the same text, if you copy-paste it on the board, many people will read it; if you put a http link on the board, few people will click the link.

I didn't even read your whole post, therefore any assertions contained therein are considered irrelevant.

Except for the fact that CCP has a partnership with Dark Horse Comics for a comic book series which may also spawn a TV show, with the comics and episodes based on stories from this website.
The comics are most definitely going to happen. The TV series is plausible.

Your logic is flawed, you base your argument on the assumption that the male players of EVE can be generalized into the same group as the ones in the study. Arguably, there rather specifics of the EVE Online game does not draw the "average" male, it draws a specific kind, with a number of specific interests. Given that EVE is a ficitional game, set in a fictional universe, one can make the assumption that one of these interests of the average male EVE player is in fact fiction, be it in the form of litterature or in the form of interactive media alike. I would hesitate to generalize the average male EVE player with the general male populace at large given this, albeit baseless in the form of actual figures and surveys, but none the less likley assumption.

I like this. It seeks to assume that male eve players are accurately represented by a study of the general male populace. That couldn't POSSIBLY draw any false conclusions.

The new what? I dont care.

After the patch we're giving the market some gentle supply restriction, like tying one wrist to the bedpost loosely with soft silk rope. Just enough to make things a bit more exciting for the market, not enough to make a safeword necessary.  -Fozzie
