Why don't pirate factions pay bounties on DED kills?

because pirates are notoriously good for their word?

why would pirates use bounties at all. their life is to hunt these they don't ask to be rewarded for it.

I disagree. I would say they have more of a tendency to kill for money.

that would make them mercenaries not pirates.

they be in it for the treasure.
