Some nice person asked the devs in the retribution roundup about getting higher resolution textures. They said that they have them, but we'd need to show them that we wanted them. Also they told us to go bother the art guys.

So I did

I asked about getting higher resolution textures at the art panel and then I bothered a very hung-over bunnyvirus at his very nice apocalypse redesign- event.

I'd like to have higher resolution textures in eve.

yes, since yesterday. Im rather baffled that there is no HD update yet, as time moves on the definition of HD changes fast. I still remember the new dx9 textures that were awesome back then, but nowadays they feel nothing special, just dull.Twisted
