CCP Prism X is being awesome, other devs should use him as an example

since the new forums have been up he's been popping into a number of threads trying to answer some of the questions the various more exasperated players have about Incarna, the old hangar screen (instead of just bringing it back how about they put something similar with better user experience and a "go to CQ button"), etc - things not necessarily his field [he's a DB guy] and things in his field [cap on number of fittings since they're stored on server].

The other devs should really use him as an example, coming onto the forums and interacting with the players is a great way to foster good will and good communication. I know a lot of the devs are busy working on various parts of eve, and in meetings planning the winter expansion, etc so we know we're asking you to take some time away from developing the game to talk to us. We're fine with that - just spend 30 or so minutes each day on the forums responding to players.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

That's so bad I can't decide whether it's worthy of a ban petition or a petition for elevation to mod status. How about this: we go for the latter, and then you give yourself a temp ban just to balance the karma. Lol

I concur, PrismX has went a long way to restoring my battered faith in CCP as an organization. Finally getting an acknowledgement of the issue with the extreme limit on the fitting management tool after more than 3 month of being ignored was a refreshing change.

More of this sort of conversation followed up with some actual code implementation will do far more to improve the over all tone of the forums than all of Si Omega's whining about whining.
