...you do your undergraduate thesis on political organizations in virtual environments and do all the case study for it on EVE.

And you then open your presentation with the Butterfly Effect trailer. Big smile

I'm sure you all have had similar experiences in which things you do in EVE are done in real life almost instinctively from how much you have played the game.

Let's hear those stories! Lol

When you've seen this thread in GD at least once a year for way too many years.

You have played EVE too long, when you get sucked up in the Youtube whirlwind, and find yourself watching PvP fights, and you try to zoom out or turn the camera angle of the ship on screen...to no avail.

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

... you only check the forums once a week or so.

... you really don't care about training 30 days at a time about a skill.

... you really don't care about an ice nerf because you have enough fuel on hand for a couple game years.

... you train ship classes you'll probably never fly just because you can.

- When you end up marrying your CEO in real life Lol
- When i hear this song and instantly replace the lyrics with this
- When you check the corp forums, EVE forums and EVE mail before you check real life mail/news.
- When you have to put down rules along the lines off "No EVE talk around the dinner table"
- When you meet random people in real life with an interest in computer games and you instantly think "Oh a potential recruit! Sweet!"

And with so many people being unhappy with threads like these showing up on a regular basis...Why don't just sticky it? Smile

in line with this one -- when you see "Star Alliance" at an airport, you try finding them on the sov map.
