Hello, i returned to EVE after about year, i have over 11 mln sp and still running lvl 3 mission with Drake. I want to try some lvl4 finally, but i'm not sure if my skills are good enough (mostly missiles and shield tank) and which ship i should use. I was thinking about Raven.. advice will be appreciated :)

Raven is perfectly fine for lvl4s, even more so now with the MJD. Just please dont fit 3 CCC rigs on it :) Rigors go a loooong way to making the battle ship missile chuckers good.

And then when you have more iskies the navy raven is still reaaaally good in pve. And of course with cruise being buffed you got a good future to look forward to.

as stated above, cruise missiles are about to get a ~30% dps buff. this means that a raven navy issue will easily crack 1000dps. if you want your tank to be on the safe side, you can choose the navy scorpion instead; it currently has around 600dps which will be upgraded to 800-900ish but in exchange has a very potent resistance bonus and 8 mid slots. this allows even newer players to fit rigor rigs and still have a solid tank.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Start with Raven. Then upgrade to Navy Scorpion.

Afterward, if feel adventures, try Navy Raven.

Yeah, and ~10% worse tracking. What made cruise crappy in the first place just got worse. Hope you have good drone skills, you'll need them for cruisers...

navy Raven is fine atm, and will get a dmg buff soon. However, you might want to switch to a typhoon, or a navy typhoon later (depending on the faction-BS "balance").

The Raven is always a great start. I prefer the Maelstrom and it's guns, but since you have good missile skills you can't go wrong with the Raven. If you don't mind waiting a while, it might also be worth waiting until the Typhoon gets tiericided, as it's about to become a missile ship as well. I've got one docked up and waiting with the hopes it will grow into a beautiful trash cannon in about a month.

Always check out the mission on EVE Survival beforehand to get an idea of what the triggers are, what ships might web or scram you and what resists you should fit. Keeping an eye on any standing hits is also a good idea. Oh and if they recommend a prop mod then use one, slow boating a Raven several dozen kilometers is no fun.

As for the Raven, you might want to fit a cap booster on it until you become comfortable with pulsing the XL shield booster. Some people are a but unnerved when they move from the Drake to the Raven and discover they only have a minute or two of capacitor with the shield booster running.

Invest in the slot 8 and 9 Zainou 'Deadeye' Guided Missile Precision and Target Navigation Prediction implants to improve damage application for both your Drake and the Raven.
