Hey CCP & and Fellow Gamers!

Sexy Ships, can we have them?

Don't wanna make a fuzz, but after flying around here, for over four years now, and looking at the same horrendous designs, you guys came up with over a decade ago, I'm kinda in the need for change.

Dunno bout the rest of you, but all of the hulls, litterally 80-90% of 'em, are outright bad, in my opinion - the only ones, even resembling a feel of "I'm in outter space, on a voyage, set to conquer the stars" are Amarr's repetoire, the rest are just downright awful, again imo.

Is there any chance you guys feel the same way? And are prepared to do something about it?

I have two apperant ideas, of which you are obviously free to persue, in any ways you please, and they are:

Competitions, where drawers and designers, creative heads over all, can come forth with input to new designs, possibly made for one group at a time, and running over several months, half a year maybe, getting you input and ideas for each ships final presentation in the actual game.

Or, alternatively, you guys, CCP, could hire a team of designers ( car industry? ) and make them come up with something new, cause litterally, we need it.

No. The ships of new eden are actually quite unique. They reflect their races philosphy and they do it quite well. Apparently Amarr race philosophy coincides with your tastes....so you can fly amarr. Me.....I love my trashcans.

I agree we need to keep racial aesthetics intact because god only knows there's enough homogenization going on across the ship balancing program.

I am khanid I love my amarr hulls and fly caldari occasionally because that's my racial profile, if we all look the same then we are all poorer.

Unfortunately without actual manual piloting, maybe similar to Freelancer, sexy racing vessels would be little more than exp iterations of something else. However, I would LOVE to see the idea of ACTUAL space races, where you have to manually pilot (yes I know a complete change in how Eve is played) and the only way to upgrade your ship is by your skill in winning therefore gain access to an LP system that grants upgrades that are not sellable or tradable in any way, 100% unique to YOUR racing ship(s) and YOUR skills as a pilot. The better you are at the races, the better upgrades you have access to giving you an edge next race, etc. It could start as a Faction specific thing, and once you rank high enough within your own Faction they have cross Faction races against their best of until the point that, say once per year, a race is held with the top XX many from each Faction and awarded prizes of XX like special Ships, Imps, RL items like the new Eve hoodies, etc.

HINT CCP: Give us actual piloting similar to Freelancer!! And sexy ships too :D

As for the OP, it's called personal taste. I don't like many of the Amarr ships, but I do like a lot of the minmatar ships and my favourite hull of all is the Scorpion.

i fy angels ship, i don't understand your statement about ugly ships....

Ummm Maelstrom!? Best looking ship in the game.
