New Dominix Drone Bonus

Just some figures:

Standard Dominix drone-pwn PvE setup:
4 x DDA
3 x ODL

5 x Garde II

Current stats: 800dps, 51km Optimal, 12km Falloff, 0.061 tracking

With new bonus (10% optimal & tracking per BS level):

800dps, 77km Optimal, 12km Falloff, 0.092 tracking


I am struggling to find any ship in Eve that can put 800dps out to nearly 80km optwith that sort of tracking ability.

Or how about Curator II's: 650dps to 135km Optimal, tracking at 0.061

Compare this to a Tachy Apoc Sniper, rail Rokh or in fact any of the standard sniper BS setups.

The only drawback is having to fill the highs with DLA's to get the control range up.

WTB Large number of Large Drone Control Range Augmentor I rigs..

For PvE this is great. For PvP you have a problem of needing to move. On the other hand you can deploy your drones, and warp right into the brawl. May also work.

Group of disco dominixes on a gate with installed gardes II out in 60- 70km will look like a lot of fun

You are correct, there are no ships with that kind of damage projection currently in game.

thats why when the domi changes were announced, i was in awe at the number of folks griping.

those drones will be lethal!
my rattlesnake has nasty dps with curator II's, out past 100k. close to what you are saying.. but i have it filled with drone mods.

think of pvp this way. spider tanking domi's. set up drones at a gate camp, mjd away. assign drones to a fast locker. setup bubble.
anything comes through the gate, they r toast. anything attacks u, the drones will turn backand shoot the crap out of the aggressor while you happily tank em.

in fleets, domis setup, drop drones, spider tank with logi support, and assign the sentries to some fast moving AF who circle the enemy locking and shooting ships. setup a nasty tank, set up some good rr, and have logi support should make the domi's tough.
and, if they start shooting your drones, you just drop another. they kill a drone, we kill a bs.
even swap...=)
with probing fast and getting faster with the new expansion, mobility really doesnt mean alot. being able to take the alpha and apply reps does. if normal bs drop in a single volley and you can tie the enemy fleets up for a volley and 1/2, you loose 2/3 normal bs.
plus, you dont need power for guns, save it for 1600's, rr and resists. no need for sensor boosts with several fast lockers orbiting.
go from 800 to 600 dps, but u gain tons of tanking.
assign all fire power to xx until he gets hit, then everyone switch to yy.
