According to a press release from Alcon, the new film "is set in the world of international extreme sports." An undercover FBI agent, like Keanu Reeves' character in Bigelow's film, will again infiltrate a ring of criminals.

Wait, are we doing a remake of point break or Need for Speed?

Or am I thinking xXx?

They are all indeed blurred into a fog in my mind.

Edit: Gotta give credit to Katheryn Bigelow though. Between "Near Dark", "Point Break", "Blue Steel", "The Hurt Locker", and "Zero Dark 30", she sure seems to make 'guy' films really well.

It sounded more like Fast and Furious, but with extreme sports, rather then extreme cars.

As a Southern California surfer dude from the 80's, I hated Point Break.

Now they want to make another? just shoot me.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

Would love to see a remake of "Freaks" , have that baby in a special edition set I bought in Europe.

Some movies could use a serious remake. I would love to see a Modern Prince Randian , that guy had more sex than all of us combined, had kids, a successful life, fame and a lot of other things, and he was barely a torso.

He has been my example for people that say they can´t do this or that , or that life is this or that on them , blah blah blah.

Also since I enjoy "special" movies , I would love to see REAL remakes of

"Burn, Witch, Burn "

"Children Shouldn´t play with Dead Things"
(love this one)

"Count Yorga, Vampire" see this movie, enjoy the nature of 70s horror cheap flicks.

And many others, but seems all remakes are on movies that should be left alone.

OMG I almost forgot!!!!

BROTHERHOOD OF SATAN!!!! " Pregnant" male figures! That was a real shocker back in the day ... huehuehuehue ...

LOL Who's going to play Keanu? One thing I kind of regret in life is not seeing Keanu when he was playing Hamlet onstage. That must have been hilarious. That was not long after the Bill & Ted movies. So Keanu would have had the line: Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy."

Also, "Point Break" is only a 20 year old film. At this rate, we should see an "Avatar" remake in 17 years.
