So that we can have an option to no longer steer our wonderful ships using puerile, silly, childish
babyish, callow, immature, inane, infantile, juvenile, naive, petty, ridiculous, trivial, irrelevant, meaningless, paltry, petty, superficial, trifling, trite, valueless, worthless DOUBLE CLICKING,

I appeal to CCP to allow right click-hold and steer ship navigation. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.

May I also make an appeal?

I want to be able to cartwheel in WiS to get around faster.

Other games have running, but cartwheeling is the way of the future.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

Like the 2 button movement in WoW, pure and simple.

Mouse control of ships with free movement would be a dream, as now all the nooks and crannies in space could be explored, not flying on preset rails and bookmarks.

And treasures that could be hidden and found for getting off "the grid" (exploration is actually exploration).

Your post is bad, and you should feel bad, also F&I, it's this way, while you're at it pray tell us how this would work?

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Uhm… no.
Mouse control would not allow you to do that any more than the current control scheme does, and would be horrible at the 1Hz sample rate the game would work at.

It wouldn't work for the same reason joystick control doesn't work.

Everything is on the grid. They would have to redesign the game from scratch for it to be otherwise.

A Pizza without bacon?

Surely such a travesty does not exist.

Windows 95 called and wants its right click to access main funcitonality back.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

That's why programmers make a living...and it's not sitting there navel gazing over 2003 code.

Polling rates can change. Dinosaurs don't want too.

I welcome a vibrant and robust interface, where bots aren't the players. Big smile

…except, of course, that it wouldn't add any vibrance at all — just more network traffic and more computation for no good reason.

Time to exercise, Tippia. Give those fingers a good work out. AFK playing isn't really gaming, after all.

If granny can do it, I'm sure YOU can. Big smile

I don't see much difference between right clicking and dragging, and the current double clicking method in space. Except the double clicking method is better. :)

Now one thing I wouldn't mind is some kind of mouse gesture to control speed, and also an improvement to the graphical UI speed indicator. Clicking and trying to work out the speed on that tiny speed bar is fiddly and annoying.
