Long therm project?

I am a miner, and I like to be one.

I mined quite a lot of ISK, I bought enough plexes to subscribe my two accounts for several months in advance.
I would like to do something else, but nothing is as lucrative as mining. Station trading might be better, but I don't find that type of activity to be to interesting.

-

I don't pvp, missions are boring, PI, research and industry compared to mining seems to be kinda bad.

I'm starting to burn out.

Anyone can give me advice on what I could work towards to?

I really do understand that mining for the sake of mining (and making isk) might be coming to the end of the road.
If ISK making is the sole purpose of your activities in the game, you, in my opinion are doing something wrong.

I don't know what corp you are in (is it your own personal one for you and the alts?) but something that does serious industry projects, where they will appreciate a steady stream of minerals for their production - while giving you something to contribute towards together with other people and enjoying the company of others maybe would be nice? I find industry fun - producing stuff for others to use, is what gives me pleasure in the game - that I make some (very likely sub-optimal) decent income is an aside.

Or actually try something radically different like pvp - who knows, you might enjoy it =) Especially in a good corp.

so basically, you are asking what you can do in eve other than mining, pvp, pve, industry and trade?
well, there is the local chat....

I should buy an Ishtar.

Ok, first off I fixed the stuff you said.

Next, it seems from what you said that you have tried quite a bit of stuff, but only in high sec. Theres the problem. High sec is boring as hell, get yourself into a nice null sec corp and you will find many of the activities you listed above to be more fun, and even more lucrative.

Also - yes there are null sec corps that have nice people in them, yes there are null sec corps that don't require you to have 10^14 skill points to join, and yes there are null sec corps who aren't just out to **** you of everything you own.

Perhaps try exploration?

As a tangent to that there's wormholes which can be done solo at lower levels and require fleets at higher levels. And another possible group activity is Incursions.

And the cool part about both of those is there are less combat oriented roles you can be applied to. In incursions you could be a logi pilot and in WHs you can be a logi pilot, a hauler that simply is tasked with getting loot out and supplies in, or maybe a full on industrialist that mines the grav sites (I bet you don't even know what an arkanor asteroid looks like huh?), harvests the gas in ladar sites and uses the materials from both as well as sleeper loot to manufacture T3 hulls and subsystems at the POS.

As for manufacture itself it can actually be quiet fun and is decent money. It's essentially like adding a multiplier to what you already make on mining. If building a ship with 95 mill can be sold for 100 mill then you got a nice little 5% multiplier on money you would have made from the raw materials.

And personally having made something yourself has a certain satisfaction to it.

So...
Besides more mining you ruled out pretty much the rest of the possibilities.

And I personally dont understand how you find mining the best of all the options. If I would have to sort them it would be the complete opposite.

Also understand that if you really dislike anything other then mining...EVE might not be your primairy game to play but more something that you should play on the side next to other games.

Well since ISK dosent seem to be an issue you could try industry just to get a change. Make it a goal to build your self a carrier or something like that..
Basically all you need is just a "goal", something to aim for that will give you a sense of purpose. Thus if you enjoy mining do that and instead of selling the raw minerals use it to build something either for your self or to sell.

And that's one of the biggest problems with mining. There's no progression. What you are doing after two weeks is going to be the same you are doing after two years. It's telling that after a couple of months, the only way to scale up is adding more accounts. So... um. What you are experiencing is perfectly normal.

As for what to do now, i am not really sure why you are ruling all those things out without even trying them. And why do things need to be lucrative? Didn't you just post that you don't know what to do with your assets... Go ahead and get wasteful, this is a game after all.

After reaching Exhumers there is no further progression.
So as becky said its either more account or you can go and give up the most boring thing in EVE and look for something else.

And not everything in EVE revolves around making ISK and nor should it. The only real important measurement in EVE is fun, the more you have while playing the better.

I have a lot of accounts for different reasons but add all their wallets together and it will likely reach just over 1.5bil ISK. Idont care if im space poor or not, as long as I can have fun playing Im playing it right.

Start a salvaging company to follow behind people doing missions? Give them a cut and take the rest.

Maybe exploration?

These guys are a bunch of party poopers and although I'm not a fan of minnig myself I got yer back. Be the anti-Chribba! Buy 1000 T2 fit catalyst and employ a small army of mindless blood thirsty grunts. Then gank every other miner in your area of operation. Lock down an entire constelation! Then bring a group of indy's into your new mafioso-corp who only produce more gank cats and grow the operation to a whole region.

There you go. Community involvement, player content, unwanten destruction AND you get to keep mining! You are welcome.

That sounds kinda like a good plan. :)

Well, I've decided to stop playing.

Thank you everyone.

In 2 months I managed to collect around 5-6b ISK. I've read dozens of blogs, hundreds of forum threads, thousands (?) pages of guides and wikis.

I managed to get to know a few people, maybe make an occasional friend.

After all of these adventures I've decided that it is time for me to move on.

Good luck, and fly safe!

Hope you have a good time in your future gaming experiences.

EDIT:

If you made 5-6bil ISK in 2 months by mining...I think the reason you are not enjoying EVE as much as possible is because you tend to "Grind" too much. You should focus less on "I need to make MOAR money" and "Die asteroid, die" and more about how much fun do I have while playing.

Which was fairly obviously the problem tbh.
Making ISK for the sake of making more bloody ISK will become pretty boring if all you do is mine ... Another one beaten by the "what do i do now, where is the x trail?" syndrome.

Try mining in a dangerous area, and as people have said have a goal. Splash some of that miner cash and make a few explosions!

Things to do with isk:

PvP is the most common....
Invest in your self, or another business opportunity..

Or Start a collection: There are TONS of random things to collect....

The obvious: Each Ship, Each BPO's, Every Faction Module, etc, etc..
The fashionist: All the piece of clothing for your avatar...
The blatant: AT Player Cards, Vouchers, Dogtags, Datalogs...
The obscure: Story line items (Keron's Head, Kusan Niemenen's Missile Launcher, Nugoeihuvi Rifles)
The random: Blood Drop, DNA, Strippers, Runic Inscription, etc...
The Bling: Officer Modules, etc...

There are many ways you can spend your isk.... (you can even use it to fund your own account via PLEX).

p.s. You should sign up for a PvP Basic class to try Ship PvP before you leave... It's a huge side of this game that you're missing out on. Our next class will probably be late April, early May, but hasn't been completely arranged yet. Here's our enrollment forum.

p.s.s. If you do leave... you should use some of that isk to create a scholarship fund to PvP-U. We offer public classes that teach the basics of PvP to anyone who wishes to learn, and then we take students out into nullsec and practice what we teach. We have an excellent reputation, and have been offering classes for 5+ years!!
