Depends on how many in corp. If that corp has people with high standing or near none. Depends on if its FW, or not. So i will need more info to help.

Hi Eliana

Theres about 15 ppl in the corp and it's for missions, lvl 4 missions etc.

Does that help?

Okay so if your account is at -4.9 and the other 14 people are either negative or about .01-1 then this will hurt the corp a lot. The bright side is there are skills that can be learned by not just you to repair your standings, but everyone in the corp to boost theirs. The skills are located under Social and consist of ones like connections, you will want Diplomacy.

I can not recall the equation. But i can give an example. There are 30 people in my corp, and one person has a -8 standing. While are highest people have 3-5. Our 3 highest people do not completely cancel the one low person. This is largely due to the majority of people having 0 standing. As the standing is averaged out by amount of members.

So in your case it would be -4.9 + the other 14 standing = X/15. X is then modified by not an individuals fixed standing with social skills, but true standing. The skills help those with bad standings get to higher level missions faster which allows them to gain more standing.

hope the brief overview helps.

Corporations (as in your player corp) vs NPC corporation standings are an avg. of all the standings of the people in the corp that have standings to that NPC corporation.

Example:

5 player corp, of which the members have the following standings in their standings list towards Caldari Navy:

Player 1: 6.7
Player 2: 1.4
Player 3: Doesn't have Caldari Navy in it's standings list.
Player 4: 0.0
Player 5: -4.9 *You as example*

Now the Corp >> Corp standings will be:

6.7+1.4+0.0-4.9 = 3.2

3.2 / 4 = 0.8

So the corporation standings towards Caldari Navy will be 0.8

Q: Why is there only 1 time 0.0 in the equation and not 2?

A: Because player 3 doesn't have any standings towards Cal Navy (it isn't in his list). This means he doesn't count in the calculations

Q: Why are you dividing by 4 when there are 5 people in the corp?

A: Again, because player 3 doesn't have ANY standings to Cal Navy, he isn't used in the calculations.

Well you need either a screenshot of every corp member's standings list (or pull them from the API if that is possible).

Or if it's just the case for one single corp...ask them to mail you their standings (keep in mind...you want the UNMODIFIED standings...so before any social skills are applied).

... or go into Corporation and the standings tab, right-click on any entity and pick Composition. Shows all members and standing towards that entity.

Thanks for the tip Tau.

Now I can chase up on the corp members who aren't pulling their weight in the standings.

Thanks again for everyone's help, it's great to learn new things I'll actually use.
