Good old Amarillo, my birthplace. It's the world's largest truck stop, more or less, surrounded by 100s of miles of nothing. "Drive farther and see less" is the slogan around there. My cousin and I once accidentally burnt about a square mile of Amarillo grassland by lighting blowing tumbleweeds on fire. Sad

Amarillo has grassland??Shocked

*Orders another Irish Coffee and settles in to the bar*

Yeah seriously. I thought it was all desert?

And Miz why the alt?

There's some tough brown grass around there, along with the yuccas and the prickly pear cactuses. Enough grass to handle a lot of beef ranching. There's a huge feed lot and slaughterhouse outside of town, and when the wind blows from the south in the spring, you get to smell cow manure all day. Ugh

Before I became a city boy, I was raised on a dairy farm. That means nothing to me.

And you're right Random. I say 1000isk per post should cover it.

it happens to me, too. and when i've accidentally double-clicked due to lag and caused an "unlike" I've never been able to undo it.

I like-spam, just to make likes happen. why can't every OOPE thread be a like and get likes thread??????

(it's also a way I get posters back into the thread to read my words of brilliance!)

High five! "Don't mess with Texas." Truer words were never said. Smile

Salute to you other beef and dairy guys too. I spent my high school days on a family farm/beef ranch. Lots of hauling hay, fixing fences, castrating, vaccinating, dehorning, that kind of stuff. I kind of miss it. The thing I don't miss though is having to do it every day. No days off when you're dealing with livestock. Smile

hey you got rid of the snowball! fantastic.

I like the like and get likes thread and I want to post in it but it just breaks my notification system for 2 days if I touch the thread so I can't post there.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

Well, then you are in the right place, as nothing going on here is exactly mainstream, but other than that, we're perfectly alright.

I vote The Greater Fool Bar becomes the unofficial Like and Get Likes thread

something only the regulars are familiar with, and isn't posted in lights out front
