I just recently got into a devoter and am wondering how to fly it well, like when do I put up the bubble? Or where I should be sitting when I want to put up a bubble? (that's kind of obvious) just some tips please.

I make YouTube videos and so on... Watch me do silly things here:

Depends what kind of combat you're doing.

An interdictor by itself is of little use except for engaging weak targets of opportunity. As they'll mainly be used in fleets you're going to want to take instructions from your FC as to where to deploy your bubble.

You'll typically be operating as either jump-through capture (sitting on the gate). Drag (Behind the gate in line from a celestial or stargate) or Intercept (Between 2 gates, for example).

Always insured as you will lose it often

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

You fit it with exploration gear and do wormholes solo. No one will bother you because hictor=bubble=obvious trap.

As soon as you get into a fight and are agressed, approach the largest group of enemy ships and press Ctrl-Q to activate the bubble.

Do what your FC tells you to do. If you're trying to solo gank in a HIC, well, bye bye HIC.

I'd suggest that the first thing you have to do to fly it is to board the ship and then undock. That's basically it.
I thought people usually like the Minmatar and Caldari Hdic's more.

Maybe warp to 0-100km from one gate to another. then align back to the first gate so you stay in line with that gate. and you'll catch most things warping towards you? The good thing about this is that you'll already be aligned incase something you can't handle comes along. Having a bookmark halfway between gates can be interesting. Gives you some warning if you use dscan you can see whats comming. Or you could sit at 0 on a gate and catch things jumping through. Hopefully you have time to get away when a big fleet jumps in.

They are also good in lowsec gangs, cause they can catch anything, no matter how many warpstabs they have on, using a script ofc.

Only if you don't have alliance reimbursement - otherwise just train it to I and do your job in the blob...

HIC is a good blob ship. Like all good blob ships it should be used to: follow whatever the FC tells you to do.

If you don't know what the FC wants you to do you are either:

Stupid enough to train Hictors.

Wait... I thought you warp with your gang / fleet and then pop the bubble when you land, making sure that you're own fleet is protected by the ant-warp bubble that they are now in?

Seriously though, just listen to the FC and hope your Corp / Alliance covers losses because you'er going to be the target on many occasions.

Good hunting
