Eve online starter pack and buddy

Hello. I have a question about Eve buddy invite.
if i use "Eve online - Starter pack" for activation my account, person who invited me, will get free time ?

If you use that CD Key from the offer you have linked then the buddy invite rewards are gone.

If you upgrade your trial with the package you have linked the guy who did sent you the invite won't get anything.

I get that ccp does this basically so they get 100% of the sale but it's kind of annoying given the way the packages are set up, it would be nice if they directly offered things like commissioned officer pack, the new packages, etc. so that the referrer could get the referral bonus and the new account could also get the best start.
