Hello. I have unused manufacturing slots that i want to put to use, and i wanted to know if there is still a market for mineral compression, and if it is profitable or not.

Again, this would be more of a sideline, jsut to use slots i already have open but unfilled.

Thanks for your help

Probably not. Just dumping the modules on the market is not going to earn you much, since everyone and his alt can do it. Might as well cook ammo...

Maybe if you can set up a private contract with someone, but even then i don't know why someone would pay you much for the modules. The transportation is the interesting part of the logistics, not the compression. Provide a service that takes care of compression and delivery to remote systems and you might be getting somewhere.

m'eh, i'll do somehting else then, i already got other things to do, and transport and things like that would take too much of my time.

Thanks for the response

Every so often you see someone trying to make a buck out of the compressed 425mm market, but their threads quickly become inactive without ever getting any customers. I feel a bit bad for the disappointment of those industrious newcomers... but there again, if they had posted here and asked others like you did, they would not have even started. The same applies to building R.A.M. blocks and many other bulk things.

As Beckie there said, build ammo.

Not quite sure what the other posters are talking about to be honest but there is profit in compression modules. I have a few private clients for which I build several thousand modules each week/month.

However, you need to be able to offer prices that are well below Jita sell (so you need to research your BPOs to crazy levels) and also it isn't a sideline project. The logistics of purchasing, transporting and compressing sufficient minerals to meet the demand of guys building capital ships can be mind boggling.
