For the love of EVE.. STOP USING TWITCH

I am sure it worked fine for many of you but Twitch.TV wouldn't load for anyone in New England I managed to contact and have try the feed. Everyone was easily able to view the ADVERTISEMENT but the actual event never loaded. Out of nearly 100 load attempts, I was successful in getting chat maybe 40% of the time.

I tried on my Note II, 7 seperate PCs on 4 seperate networks with 3 seperate browsers.

Twitch.TV is utter garbage.

I could not care that it was yet another event when everyone in EST TZ is at work (I may be mistaken but this seems common due to working hours CCP may have) but this is the 3rd or 4th even that CCP has selected a new vendor to stream their events and the 2nd time that black screens are prevalent.

Im sure the events going to be fun and all but I would rather watch it live that watch a stale copy on youtube.

Thought maybe it was just me. How utterly disappointing. At least they posted the video of the early contact between fleets. Guess I'll have to wait for YouTube clips of the Shiigeru's destruction. Sad

yeah, it's crap, never works. Even the search on the android app is rubbish.

Needs to be an in-house solution so you can watch streams in CQ or in your ship, etc

I think there are some problems with the iOS and Android twitch apps latest versions? I experience pretty major problems with them anyway. If you are experiencing issues with lag while watching twitch livestreams or VODs, I understand that flushing your DNS can help in a lot of cases. Hope this helps some of you.

Not lag. Complete failure to load stream - All I got was a 'live' view of the splash screen advertising the event. At least, the flashing light insisted that it was 'live' static image. P

So now we've finished moaning about Own3D (which was terrible before they even went through the whole closing down screw over our customers phase and died) were now complaining about Twitch which I recall you all suggested CCP use instead of Own3D


You guys are morons, it's not like CCP is under any requirement to stream anything for you anyway, given that nearly every other person there seemed to be streaming themselves anyway.

You read that question wrong Trebek. It should read "common free internet software" for five hundred dollars.

Twitch worked fine for me in chrome, with adblock.

Had the same issue, hit reload, worked. I assume you tried this and it didn't work for you though? Did you try restarting browser? Clearing browser cache?

Twitch doesn't usually give me problems, and if it does, F5 is your best friend. It's not that hard.
