Thanks to the folks organizing the Caldari Prime event

Amongst all the crying and complaining that it going on about the titans destruction being predestined, the population cap and whatnot I'd like to point one thing out:

A massive group of devs went and staged an event for all that had the luck to be present, sacrificing their Friday evening they could spend with their families or friends.

So, you all have my thanks for going that extra mile. If I were at Fanfest I'd buy you all an extra beer Big smile

Seriously THANKS for a fun event:

Nice to see Devs breathing a little life back into the storyline

And now we wait to see the fallout:

- Caldari Navy opened fire on a DED ship ... that's going to have consequences

- Titan over Caldari Prime destroyed ... that's a political game-changer

Hope to see the storyline expanded even more

I second that.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

Thanks to everyone that was involved in the event. Although not the outcome i had hoped for, it was still fun. Being hopelessly outnumber and out gunned got my pulse racing!

Good job people!

Can't wait to see fallout of this, and to RP my way though it all.

I thought this was an awesome event! I went in knowing there was a script, I mean that's why I went in the first place... the entire rest of eve is mostly unscripted content so it was nice to see something like a Titan crashing into a planet that just can't happen with player generated content.

Everyone in the 250 man Gallente fleet seemed to have a great time. Thank you CCP.

I'll also add that this was the first time in a long while that I've been in a really lagged out system. Tidi worked well, although waiting 10 minutes for my ASBs to reload was extreme. Modules and commands were responsive, although reloading had some issues. The only letdown is that brackets create such an extreme system load. I don't really understand how I can go 60fps without colored boxes and 4fps with colored boxes. My CPU and GPU were both under 50% utilization when I was going 4fps, so there's obviously some efficiency issues here as well.

I have to join in and say thank you as well to CCP. I thought this was a great event and had loads of fun.

TiDi was different, I haven't actually experienced it before and it was a really strange thing to see in action.

While I also second the thoughts of mechtech with the brackets and fps I can't really say much. I was using my wife's laptop at her parents house so I can't really say much about it because her laptop isn't much of a comparison to my normal desktop computer I play EVE on. The only way I could get even half decent fps was if I had the system map open instead of the actual fight, while I could take part in the battle, I couldn't really see anything going on except for whoever I was targeting at the time.

All the exceptions made by CCP to get as many, previously barred, players into the fight is deserving of a big thank you. Despite some issues I'd much rather see what the live event team is doing now than nothing at all.

And Verone, you have my personal permission to do whatever you want with Caldari lore as long as you back it away from Gonzales' space na zis.

I truly appreciate that they run those events. They make the world feel much more alive and dynamic. They should do more of them, smaller ones, too. Not everything needs to be a world changing event.

And I must say, the Luminaire event has shown that they need some more practice threading a story so that the parts that are supposed to happen are not confused with the parts players can actually influence. A free for all, while fun, results in a mostly incoherent mess that drowns out the gravity of what is happening.

Then again, this is the biggest they did yet, so as a first it at least didn't kill the server.

Hey, CCP, give that team more resources and freedoms. A MMO with continuous, dynamic and unique storylines and events is a industry first. Reason enough to make them good.

I wasn't even able to attend due to the timeframe of the event, but I still want to thank all the devs and actors involved. Finally, change! I look forward to more in the future!

Thank you! As a Caldari loyalist pilot, despite the loss, it was a great event! Was fun being able to finally participate given it went over an entire night for me local time. :)

Great fun! great RP! (even if it was a forlorn cause Big smile) only complaint is that the suspect countdown after my first death prevented me from participating in the rest of the battle without getting CONCORDED outside the station. Seriously, the time says 9:00 and it took well over the entire battle to run down.

An absolutely brilliant event, especially considering how much of a clusterfudge it must have been to arrange. Kudos to CCP!

I was not being able to be there in Luminaire, however it was exciting just to read the news feeds as they were published.

Thank you for bringing the NPC universe and their conflicts to life.

But this event only kept them at the office for MAYBE an extra 1.5 hours. And its not like they were tracing feeder cables, they were playing a game. (all the work had already been laid out WHILE THEY WERE GETTING PAID DURING THE WEEK) Its not all that extraordinary in my book to stay for 1.5 hours while playing a game that you spent the week working on. (some of them seemed to have stayed longer)

Yes this was neat, yes alot of ppl had fun, but there were still alot of ppl who got left hanging, being just a single click away for over an hour while we watched the stream to get any sort of enjoyment out of it.

But please CCP, please, stop touting this as a "player decided outcome"...i saw no regular players piloting any of the capitols that decided this event.

As for me, after all was said and done, there were many other things i would have rather spent my time doing...camping Jita undock would have actually been more enjoyable than what i ended up doing. I will not be returning for the next couple of Live Events, until you fully anticipate that when you invite ALL of EVE to come shoot or rep a HighSec Titan...that you can be assured, more than a measly 1,000 pilots will likely answer that call.

It would have been nice if "allied" fleets could somehow identify eachother, I ended up in a smaller fleet (after the main Gallente fleet had filled up) and deciding what to shoot and what not seemed to be rather a problem (well, aside from shooting anything shooting at us, of course)

Guess this would be really hard to do but it'd be nice for those of us that want to RP these things rather than join a huge FFA brawlBlink

Anyway, I had a blast, keep it coming Smile
