So I just want to double check before I set up a stagin area nearby.

Can I, as somone not in the militia or doing faction warfare at all, take part in the defense of the Titan over Caldari prime without being immediately concordokkened? (if other players rip me apart, that's fine, I just don't want to be insta oneshotted by NPCs)

It'll depend on the day. But in the past ships have become suspect allowing players to engage safely (but then of course switched off).

If the security status or Gallente Navy NPC mechanics don't change, the only faction warfare pilots allowed in the system will be the Federal Defence Union (Gallente) and Caldari militia pilots will not be allowed.

I am not milita, so getting into the system is no problem.

What happened at the Algogille event was there were two sides Navy Fleets, Caldari and Gallente. Both fleets got set to suspect so you could join in and fight against either the Caldari or Gallente if you wish. But only the Dev Actors were made Suspect flagged. So you could side with, say, the Caldari and shoot at the Gallente Navy, but not the Capsuleers who sided with the Gallente and shot at the Caldari Navy because those Capsuleers were not Suspect.

However there have been hints here and there that at this event, you can shoot at anyone. So either they are going to be suspending CONCORD in that system, or everyone's getting a flagging, or -something-.

The whole idea is that people can join in this event (like every other Live Event) and help try to make a difference one way or the other. For personal reasons I am tossing my hat in to fight against the Gallente, and I am doing this having never in my life ever touched Faction Warfare. :) I already have several ships in system and several strategic bookmarks around....
