Hi,

Was wondering if there is an easy way to know if an item is used in manufacturing? I have several SQL Queries written about blueprints and the materials involved but was wondering if there was a way to query if an item is used in any type of manufacturing at all.

For example, it would find the usual, tritanium, pyerite etc but then also if a module was used.

It was clear from the start, but you've made a big effort in blurring the sense of your question :)
Yes, it is possible.
Create a number of views to pull items required for various activity associated with manufacturing, and a it'll be a matter of checking the list to see, if the item is there or not. You may as well store views in a table for quicker reference, if you intend to do that alot.

You're always going to have to use a typeid, or type name, if you want to see what a /specific/ item is used to manufacture.


Or are you asking for a list of modules which are used as components in manufacturing? (grab the list of materials from invTypeMaterials, and ramTypeRequirements, distinct it. find the list from invTypeMaterials and ramTypeRequirements where the thing being made is on the first list)
