How long do wrecks last?

hey I am wondering how long wrecks last?

I am wondering because I like to do 3-4 misisons at a time, I save the wrecks locations, and I come back once I do a couple missions.

So far I have left them for maybe an hour and a half or so, and they stay. But I am not sure if they are were still there.. it seemed like a couple were missing..

So I am wondering if there is a definate time limit that a wreck will stay for?

Does the timer start from the time the ship was destroyed? or how does it work?

Thankyou very much!

Wrecks and normal cans (not anchored secure) last 2 hours after creation

Well...it's approximately 2 hours...could be little bit less or more.

Usually I make sure I get the wrecks / cans around 1.5 hours just to be safe.

As stated above it's about two hour from the creation time.

Eg if you were to start a mission and the last ship dies about two hours after the first one (unlikely i grant you), then the wreck of that first ship will have despawned by this time.

Perhaps you know this already, but it's worth mentioning the daily downtime (from 11:00 to 11:30 GMT): removes wrecks and containers from space, so if you plan on running missions in the morning make sure you have enough time to salvage/loot before the DD begins.
