Gave a friend my recruitment link and he created a 21-day trial account, referral isn't showing

So I gave my friend the recruitment link in the buddy program rather than sending him the email and he signed up for an account. He definitely has a 21 day trial rather than the 14-day from just signing up on the website, but his email is not showing up in my past invites like the other people I have recruited. I told him to file a petition and he did, but the response he got completely ignored the issue and just sounded like they copied and pasted a response about international credit cards not working, even though we're both in the U.S.

So, has anybody had this problem before? Will EVE support be able to add his account to my referrals so we can get the PLEX when he pays for his first month, or will he have to resort to making a new account if we want the PLEX? Or maybe will it show up when he buys his first month?

Just cause you're in the US doesn't mean this isn't and international issue.

CCP is from Iceland.

Unless you're native to Iceland you're always going to be doing international stuff.

Have him try to open a contract or to give you 1 ISK. If he can't then his payment didn't go through at all and he's still in a trial.

Perhaps YOU should petition and ask, given that it's your issue and not your freind's?

While I can't know whether any people have clicked my open invite URL and not shown up on my past invites list, I am certain that I have never had a situation where someone claims to have used my open invite URL, paid for the account, and not shown up on my list with a PLEX to claim. Does that make sense?

I've also not had any situations where I have emailed an invite to someone and they did not show up on the list.

How long has it been since the invite link was clicked and the account created? I wonder if this is one of those "wait 24 hours and look again" issues?

edit: the administrative issues surrounding offering rewards to players who use my open invite URL are too much of a headache (i.e.: too much like real-job work :), so I only use the directed invites these days. I think I wrangled about three invites (who all converted to subscribers) in the time that I had the invite URL up.
