Proper lows should be 3x DDA, 2x BCU, 1x DCU II or SPR. Drop the cap booster and armor hardener. Bring along some EM sentry drones for longer ranged DPS. Consider cruise launchers, unless you for missile range rigs. Paper DPS is lower, applied DPS is higher.

A general rule for fitting all ships: Don't mix tanks. Having an armor hardener on a shield tanked ship is really wasteful.

Your shield regen/sec will be very low on your passive fit. Might be ok with longer range sentries, but I think that tank would struggle within garde optimal.

If you find the tank is insufficient on the passive tank, then replace BCU's with more SPRs. I think that is enough tank for Anomalies.

Torpedos will probably not have sufficient range without range rigs to effectively use them on a sentry boat.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Could switch the micro jump drive for another shield extender, but it's a really nifty tool. Your tank shouldn't break easily but at times the damage might be too high in some mission or when you clumsily pull too many groups, or when the enemy insists on targeting your drones instead of you. Together with Wardens you should be able to hit far beyond 80km depending on your skills, for a lot of damage, which works splendid together with the micro jump drive. I imagine it could come in handy in null as well in case you face a gank squad.

I use two invulnerability fields purely out of laziness, change both or one of them to fit whatever damage type you are fighting. Oh, and here is a piece of advice; don't fit drone ships with turret or missile enhancers. Your main damage comes from drones, focus on maximising their potential instead. Four slots for launchers just wont cut it.

Can you post a TP's fit? And yes I want a decent tank. (Hopefully Passive) and just let drones tear threw all the smaller class ships, while I use an AB/MWD for catching up to and killing the BS's; with the TP's.

Related to the strategy:
You want to play catch with the BSs while your stationary sentry drones are attacking the smaller ships?
- Wanna go back to pick the sentries up later?
- Pick your poison: dealing with aggro on your drones with the new AI OR sentries not hitting frigs because they generate too much transversal coming after you.

Related to the fitting idea:
- Passive Rattlesnake was a concept worth thinking about before drone damage mods. It is a very slot intensive concept to generate substantial tank with and those slots can be better used for damage now. Do yourself a favor and use a booster.

Is that some kind of trap to generate a 200M drop chance?

Changing the tracking links for faction version is well worth the investment (at 40M per), but 200M for 2km control range compared to T2 is pretty ridiculous.

P.S.
As a general rule, if you prefer to do damage with Torps or Cruise missiles the Rattlesnake is not a good choice, it's a droneboat.
For Torps you should aim for a Golem, for Cruise Missiles you should pick between CNR or SNI, depending if your emphasis is on offense or defense.

I maximized the DPS and I don't even need the Shield booster in most missions...
Using passive tanks is just a waste of DPS for this ship.

More than 3 damage boosts aren't worth it, you will get more on a rattlesnake with 3 of each.

your doing it wrong. your main dps on the rattle IS your drones. Use sentry's, dont be daft. Feel free to contact me in game if you want any advice.
