I have many, but won't burden the good folks reading here with too much all at once. So I'll just present one.

When I'm flying around in my ship, and lock a target for whatever reason (mine an asteroid, shoot a ship, etc) my entire screen flips around and rotates so that the nose of the ship lines up with whatever has been locked. I don't want this behavior, and find it highly annoying. I'd just like for the display to keep the same orientation at all times unless I physically change it with the mouse.

I've looked for settings but haven't been able to find anything. Is what I want to do possible?

Thanks in advance.

CORRECTION: The display doesn't necessarily line up with the nose of the ship, but it does flip around like crazy. Also, it may not (only?) be when locking. It may be when clicking on a target.

I have keys remapped, so I doubt my 'C' is what your C is. Can you please explain more? Thanks.

basically it's the camera tracking, turn it off. either the menu on your the box that's above the overview (by default) or in your dscan window thingy.

the setting is toggled by C or by going to the menu at the top left corner of the 'selected item' pane (the one with approach/warp/jump etc)

there's a second, very similar setting in the dscan window displayed as a checkbox named 'track target' or something similar

either or both may be on.

My God, that did it. Thanks! I've been suffering with the previous setting for weeks now. I looked in what I thought were all the 'obvious' places under the menus accessed by the escape key.

The more you know.

CCP is great at adding useless fluff, but this one was a new low.....
