Help with character scam!

Hi all o/.
Ok recently I was involved in purchasing a toon and I have an issue going on with a seller who basically took my isk and ran.

I have filed a petition but I've never had this happened so I'm not sure what to do.
There was 7.8billion isk involved with the sale that was transferred to his character but I haven't heard from him since yesterday. He just left without saying a word and as far as I know he is still trying to sell the character. I have the wallet transaction history of me sending money to his character for the purchase and him accepting it.


Like I said I'm not too sure what can be done but I have filed a petition and I'm just waiting for a response.

Will is isk be reinburst? Will I get the character? Am I protected from this? Am I not getting anything Shocked


Help from anyone or any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've had this happen to me before just give it time and CCP will sort it out. I bought a char for about 30bil and got it back, it just takes a few days.

I filled mine under character transfers, and put the following:-

Hello I bought a character on the bizzare and the guy still hasnt started the transaction, I have sent 43 bil isk and he said he would start the transfer straight away. Can you help at all ?

I guess now all I do is wait :).
Exactly how long did it take to get your isk back?

Never sent isk before gettin an confirmation mail from the seller, or he postin the agreement on forum.

Many people sent isk and think they will get the char therefore, that would look like an donation instead of buyin a char.

Hope CCP will fix it for you buddie

How did it turn out? I'm in the same situation as well, at this point i dont even want the toon i want my isk back lol.

All matters involving possible character scams should be dealt with using the petition system. When done using petitions, it will always be looked at and resolved in a timely manner.
